Hey all...I waited for this car for nine months and then waiting another couple of months for a warm day to coat it. I have to say I am very happy with the results. Since new, I've kept it clean with regular washes. My neighbors think I'm crazy as I'm sure many of you can related to. But this is the first time I got the Flex DA polisher out to really make it pop. Here are some of the key products:

  • Wash with Reset
  • Sonax Wheel cleaner plus
  • Decontaminate with IronX
  • Griots clay with ONR as a lubricant
  • M105 with LC hybrid orange pad - just on areas with larger defects
  • M205 with LC hybrid white pad
  • Wipe down with Eraser
  • Two coats of UK 3.0
  • One coat of Gliss
  • Meguiars Hyper Dressing

Overall, I am really happy with UK 3.0. It was easy to apply and I found it relatively easy to remove. I was working on a pretty hot and humid day so it did take some time to flash. But the rainbow slick was pretty easy to spot under my garage LED lights so I was confident in my timing. The longer flash time made it easy to work larger sections than I normally would. When I pulled the car out in the morning, I did have a couple of high spots. I was initially concerned that since they had sat overnight, they would be hard to remove. But some light work with M205 and a CG hand pad and they were gone. I applied the second coat the next morning and it was significantly cooler and dryer. Flash time was definitely decreased.

I am really happy with the results. I will tell you that one thing that I am not happy with is my ability to correct the gloss black trim on the car. You look at it hard enough and it swirls. I'm happy with the deep gloss these areas have, but under the light you can definitely tell there are marks. Just something to work on as I get better.

Thanks to all who helped me decide on these products and gave me tips.

Nice work! :xyxthumbs:

Don't beat yourself up about the gloss black trims, they are near impossible to perfect. Either apply PPF or just keep them best you can with the knowledge they will always have some element of imperfection.

Yah thanks man. Appreciate the words about the black trim. It’s my first car with so much of the stuff so I was hoping I’d get it a bit better. But what a pain. I’ll probably PPF the rocker panels at a minimum. But right now I’m just enjoying the shine. Of course now I have to give my wife’s car the same treatment. Haha.

GREAT JOB!

Just a FYI - I've been using M110 and M210
I like the new Meguiars combo MUCH better than 105/205.
