3D AAT 505 Correction Glaze (Like SPEED, but BETTER!)

Good question? I'm not exactly sure? I know we're ramping up production now, but not sure when they'll land at distributors? Initial batches tend to be really large! If I get more info I'll be sure to pass it along.

No plans on eliminating Speed from our line, but be on the lookout for possible merging/integrating of the HD line with the 3D one. Again, we're always trying to keep things simple!

I'm really confused what the purpose was in creating a line directly marketed toward body shops with the intent of keeping things simple when HD cut+ and HD Polish+ are already fresh paint safe and body shop safe? I completely understand the development of the new 505 product because I don't believe HD Speed is body shop safe or fresh paint safe for that matter? But I did just read one of your recent posts where you said all the products were fresh paint safe so maybe I just haven't been looking in the right place.

The new 505 seems like a really impressive and ambitious product that will revolutionize the body shop industry, but if you could help me understand how 501 compound and 502 polish are any different from HD cut+ & polish+.... I've used every polish and compound 3d/HD has available and I've loved them all, but when it comes to ease of use, forgiveness when overworked, ultimate finish, worktime, and especially ease of removal, HD Cut+ and Polish+ are far superior. I know if I worked in a body shop I would only use those two products and accompany them with the new 505 correction glaze. Thanks for all the great posts and teasers. I'm a huge 3d/hd fan and will continue to use the products because even with the apparent redundancies the products are still the best available. Thanks!!

Looking forward to trying 505 as I will need an AIO that is fresh paint safe. Still researching and looking for the best products and opinions of others, but this one seems the best so far. I really enjoy 3D Products.

If you have ever used Speed then you will love 505a. I use 505a quite a bit. Mainly because I spent the money on it. It's a good product but just don't see why speed isn't fresh paint safe. Speed and 505 are pretty much the same thing IMO. It's a shame 505 is priced so much more.

Montan Wax vs HD Poxy. Poxy won't allow the paint to de-gas where 505's Montan will. It should last longer too. That's the only reason I'm likely going to pick some up. Speed is a strong go-to for me on my details that aren't coated. I'm OCD and tend to apply a quick coat of 476 over it to extend it's longevity. Main factor I like about Speed is it's ease of use both on and off.

I do not see this AAT 505 Correction Glaze in the Autogeek store. Does anyone know if they plan to carry it?

HD Poxy has montan wax in it. But if you like how Speed wiped off then you will definitely like 505.

I talked to the folks at 3D and they said 505 has a bit more cutting capability but the main difference is that it has ZERO Silicon thus is safe for fresh paint. HDSpeed has silicon in it and thus is NOT safe for fresh paint as that will prevent it from gassing-off properly. I also talked to the shop doing my paint work and they said they use HD Products when finishing and supported my use of it upon getting my car back.
