hello all.

question to all you detail gurus.

In your experience whats been a better compound for you, 3D HD Cut or Wolfgang Uber Compound 3.0 ?

Wolfgang compound in my experience is great. It just hitting my wallet too much these days and i am looking for a cheaper solution. Thought 3D would be its best competition for its buck, any suggestions im open?

16oz of 3D HD Cut 8ox @ $15.99

vs

8 oz Wolfgang Uber Compound 3.0 @ $29.99

thank you for your time.

Menzerna Fg400 8oz @ 23.99

HD Cut all day long for the money and I have all three of the above mentioned products.

But your best value is bumping up to the 16oz bottle on Cut + as you get twice as much for only $5.00 more.

HD Cut+ isn't one of the heavier cutting compounds out there, but it does finish nice.

i was trying to reply 1 by 1 but seems i pulled a rookie move once again so i just hit edit.

thank you all for your help, appreciate you taking the time. Im def investing in 3D as my WG inventory is low and im in need for some new stuff. just not getting much work anymore so trying to save a buck or 2 but by all means i am not cutting any corners.

You could always bump up to 3d if you need more aggression. AAT Rubbing Compound and at 8 oz it's $19.99.

3D AAT Rubbing Compound 8 oz.

and finish with this:

3D AAT Finishing Polish 8 oz.

This is a great 1-2 combination.

I actually just messed around with it over the weekend doing a little testing on my daughters hood.

I bought the 8 oz bottles on a sale.

I ran out of my WG on my last panel.

Did you happen to you use a rotary or orbital? these days i been using a FLEX 3401, would AAT be ok to use with my Flex ?

I have a number of DA's, I was using my Duetto. I do most of my testing with that as it's not a really aggressive polisher so if I can get good results with it then I know I could bump up to my GG21 or Rupes 15 and get faster results.

I tested with LC flat orange pad on step one and LC white pad with step two. It came out really nice and like glass.
