3D HD Speed or Meguiars D151

I use less than 2 oz to do an entire car. With 20% discount $69.99=$55.99 / 128 = .43 oz x 2 = .86 cents to do an average size vehicle. Stick with your megs and I'll stick with Speed.

With the same 20% discount PRC $33.99=$27.00/128 = .26 oz. x 2oz. it took me to do a whole car today..

.52 cents = Cheapo Champion💪🏽💰😃

What do you top HD Speed with? I topped D151 with a quik go round of D156.. Because we all know the protection is weak for the both of em.

What kind of real world testing have you done of HD Speed and it's longevity?

I've done mine and being I live in Florida " The Sunshine State" it's pretty solid testing.

From talking with HD Speed users on this forum I've heard countless testimonials about its protection being anywhere from 1 week to a month, couple months, Maybe 3 months.. Never have I heard a firm statement claiming any longer than that, standing on its own. People are honest.

But you personally haven't done any testing of HD Speed correct?

So as you've called me out many times over the past 6 months on my posts, it's my turn, I'll leave it at that.

Also, in your real world testing, how often did you wash the vehicle? Are you the dude with the white Nissan Rouge? If so, you once said you hadn't washed the Rouge since Feb. [and it was like 9 months later] lol.
Never washing the vehicle sort of takes the "real world" out of the equation.😃

I don't really recall calling you out about anything of significance.

If anything, the real memory I have of us having conversating was the time we shared a laugh about me having been run over on a bike when I was younger.. Which in turn was part of the reason I don't know a thing about motorcycles, which I found out you're an owner of a "custom sporty" which sounds like a sweet motorcycle.. Don't take it personal. I'm just having a convo with you, friend.

I usually top speed with HD Poxy. I honestly haven't tried testing speed by itself for longevity. Simply because I usually can't leave anything alone that long lol.

Yeah and I just washed my Rogue today for the first time since putting the Polish Angel Viking Coat on it a couple months ago. I'd have to say it looks pretty darn awesome. I'd have to say the PA VC held up to the spring pollen in Florida etc.

PS I even dressed the tires for you with HD, but for some reason AG doesn't carry it.

LOL :buffing:

Took these for you about 10 minutes ago.

Never let it be said I'm not a team player, I wiped it down after the wash and dry with BFWDPS. :dblthumb2:

On the contrary, that is real world with most average car owners.

And it only takes about 30 minutes for that added step yet it adds a few months of durability.

and for the record "dude" here's your post from my thread:

Looks good.
So you had only washed your new Nissan 3 times since February? Wow. Would've loved to see some before pics..

and this is my exact quote:

"I hadn't done much to it since my initial new car detail. Washed it about 3-4 times since then. So it was over due for a detailing, especially after the 1,300 mile Thanksgiving road trip."

So it wasn't once in 9 months, it was a 3-4 times if I remember correctly.

Looks great.👍🏽 That trim looks better than new, and as you know that's the key detail with the white vehicle.
I finally placed an order for Essence + Reload. Can't wait to get my feet wet into the beginning stages of "coatings" and make the white Kia Sorento look as detailed as your white Rouge.

D151 finishes like crap on some paint systems.

Thanks for the input.

I'm trying to minimize after having maximized. So I'm going to be sheading many of my products. I'm going to be using primarily HD Products on most of my jobs and Polish Angel on the more upscale for those who want to invest a little more.

So Nick, how about broadening your 3D / HD offerings and bringing PA to AG?

I'll be sharing with all my fellow AG'ers and will be posting freebies over the next few months so stay tuned.

We can experiment with those two together. I have them and haven't used yet. I'll do the wife's Sonata. So let's set a weekend aside in April to do it.

The trim is WG Sealant. It didn't hold up real well on the front.

Next up will be either Dlux or Car Pro Perl.

The sun down here will decimate this trim in no time.

Meg D151, I personally love it and with the right pad works wonders!

These were all done with an orbital as well!

To each their own, but if I had to choose between HD SPEED or D151, I'd go SPEED, without a doubt!!

This thread proves they are both winners. I've never used D151 but do really like HDSpeed and HDAdapt. Everyone's mileage and needs vary and there are a lot of variables that play into what works for everyone.

The car/paint
Condition
Buffer/Skill
Time available
Desired result; Good, Better or Very Best
Tolerance to use such as dusting, or other usage quirks
ect. Add your own.

I personally like HD products as they finish very well with a variety of pads, cut is amazing, finish is very good, contain sealant thus is can be an AIO without any need to further top things off, and in general overall, it's a time saver that doesn't cut corners on results.
