5 day correction detail 997 Turbo

I'm always amazed at the number of really desirable cars with trashed paint that I see.

Very few owners even know what perfect paint looks like. A lot of them think that if they see all sorts of horrible rotary traces when they get their cars "polished" then they really got their moneys worth.

You really turned that Porsche around. I bet the owner was surprised to see half the car perfected. It's when they can see 50/50 that it really hits them, how bad it WAS.

Beautiful!! :props:

Do you mind sharing what polishers and pads you used?

Thanks.

Never been much of a Porsche guy, but that one is sexy! Great job!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!! Great job. I always love looking at high end detail from the

pros! Thanks.

That was a very complete photo shoot, good job and awesome work on the car for sure! My question is this, why would someone let a car like that get to that point? I mean I've only got a CR-Z and drive it everyday since I bought it in Sept of 2011 and I can tell you this, there's NO marks like that on my car, I haven't even had to wheel the car, just lots of Zaino Z-5 pro and Z-CS. I know people like this keep you guys in business but atleast issue the guy a some advice on keeping it up inbetween visits, its just a shame to see a car look like that, especially black!

Once again, great job!

There are not enough O's in WOOOOW to describe the before and after shots!!! :props:

It's not that I don't enjoy the everyday cars and trucks that go from an ugly duckling to the swan they rightfully are but the high end exotics absolutely thrill me!!

Every time I see a thread like this I spend quite a bit of time looking at each photo. The before and after shots are amazing and once the car is fully restored it looks like a showpiece...

I really need to try some of Meguiar's M101.....

Thank you for taking the time to photograph and narrate this detail so completely...:props:

Can I use this polish with my Griot's RO on finishes nowhere near that bad?

WOW that's awesomely detail...lots of hard & heart work...

and the priceless achievement...

100% satisfactions

Amazing job! You did a great job documenting it. I'm sure you will be getting a few calls in the next few days. It will start to bug other people at the club when they look at their cars.

I appreciate your kind words!!!!!

1st, he is the second owner and had the car a year or so to my knowledge.

So I am sure that by the time he bought the car it was trashed. Not this guys fault.

I see that you drive a silver car? You are a very smart man!! :dblthumb2:

Flat black paint is the worst to keep defect free and maintain. Even if you are careful most of the time, the times you are not, the paint will suffer. It really is a part time job with black paint.

If you have untrained eyes, you will not see or even notice swirls much. I guess most people just care about shine. Lack of awareness is the main issue, very few people are aware of what CAN be done to paint.

Look at the very first picture - while dirty, it still looks glossy. Plus in Oregon you have 7 or 8 months of no sun.

Anyway as I always say - take any color car in to a garage, turn all lights off, turn on some halogen lights and carefully inspect the paint. MOST cars will look terrible.

I used a GG PC, MF pads to cut and polish, black foam to finish. 101, UNO and 205.

It was difficult to finish down with the PC. Rotary and UNO would have been fine but didn't have any sun so I didn't bother.

205 and the MF pads are a gem!!!!!! Try it!

TO ALL WHO KINDLY TOOK THE TIME TO REPLY, THANK YOU!!!!!!
