Ok it's a clone, not an actual SS. A buddy wanted me to get this '71 Chevelle all ready for the O'Reilly World of Wheels show in Indy next weekend. It had swirls in some spots (as evidenced by the stripe) so after claying I gave it my trusty Menzerna treatment; spot corrected with SHC 400, went over the whole car with SF4500, & topped off with a coat of Power Lock. Unfortunately it clouded up outside before we could get it out for some pics, but I think it came out pretty nice. And it was nice to detail something in February!

What was the condition of the chrome bumpers? If they needed correction, what was your process?

He only wanted me to do the paint. The chrome is in really good shape. Car was repainted a 3 or 4 yrs ago & I think he replaced the bumpers then. They're the only chrome left. The rest has been powder coated black.

Always loved these chevelles! Great work! I actually work for O'Reilly auto parta haha. So my boss will be checking it out for sure!!
