Just finished this puppy today. Beautiful, beautiful color to work with.

Car was wet sanded and compounded twice before coming to me.

Lots and lots of compound in all the crevasses and edges. Took forever to get off! Got about 70 to 75 % taken out.

Love, love working with that Pinnacle jeweling wax! Cuts very nice w/o dusting.
And Pinnacle paste wax really sets it apart!

Washed wheels/tires and dried.
Wheels were HydroBlue'd.
Rinseless washed and dried.
Paint was clay barred and dried.
"OPW" compound was removed. Started with water, then moved to 50% Isopropyl Alcohol. Much quicker---but still, took time to remove.
Remove areas of wet sanding that was not completed by the body shop with Rupes yellow and yellow pad.
Polished paint with Pinnacle Jeweling Wax and Rupes white pads. Wow...wow...! Loved working with this---was a fun, zen-like process.
Sealed with Pinnacle Paste wax.
Chrome polished with Mother's.
Inner and outer glass cleaned.
Interior floors vacuumed.

OK...will get off computer and use tapatalk to post pics.
Will be pic heavy!

Enjoy

Been very blessed to hook up with Mario at Bruno's Classic Muscle.
He is big believer of quality work on unique cars! And very supportive of me getting my business off the ground!

I thought HD Speed was tops...But this???

Pinnacle Jeweling wax is the best I've tried and it just shimmers!!

And a pure joy to use too!

I'm in love again...Grin.

You are tearing it up, Tom!

Awesome job my brother.......... :)

That color is stunning but lets talk about those rims, WOW!!!!

Rims...yeah. Surprised anyone noticed. Those are Hilbrand rims and only 850 were made. The owner was able get hands on six before they were sold out!

If I understand correctly---these rims were knockoffs of the original rims that were used at the Bonneville Salt flats.

Wow beautiful work and what a beautiful color! I remember those cars! I had a full head of hair when they came out. I believe it was a specialty kit car or car manufacturer and only a couple of thousand were mde. That was during the kit car craze era!

I can only imagine what the originals are worth

Wow way cool! Studebaker! Thank you for the correction. My friend had a Ferrari knock off with the Corvette chasis....like the Miami Vice show vehicle! Crockett and Tubbs and Elvis the Alligator!...LOL

Fantastic job!!! Love the corner shots.... looks like it is still wet

Thanks for sharing, Tom!!!

I think he means the company that took over after Stude went out of business and used Camaro chassis and engines

Awesome work and write up and pictures Tom!

Did you knock out the wet sanding marks with Rupes yellow pad and yellow Keramik?

If so that paint is quite soft I would imagine. Cool car and beutieful color!
