84 peterbuilt...26 day turnaround

A 1984 peterbuilt cab over, three owner truck came into my buddys shop for body work/ paint and assembly less than a month before it went to the lousville truck show. Frame was stretched last fall, rear wheels used to be directly behind the fuel tanks.

First after order arrival was disassembly. Then frame was sandblasted. Next was all the bodywork, frame was block sanded. After was all the paint work.

Lots of man hours went into it. After the frame and truck was sanded and buffed, i put the final shine to it with 12 hours worth of polishing. Used menzerna 3500, both the flex supa beast and flex rotary.

Did a final dust wipe off with 3d waterless wash, then protected the paint for the road trip with 3d bead it up.

My favorite part is honestly to star at the mirror shine on the pearl white frame and deck plate.

As far as i know its just going to be pretty much a show truck,pulling his trailer to truck shows to promote his business. He owns Evans detailing and polishing, and Time 2 Shine products. He mainly polishes all aluminum on big trucks


Plus it looks way better stretched than that super short wheelbase. Im sure it rides better too.

Thats my buddys "show truck". It doesnt come out often. He was delivering the peterbuilt to louisville and needed a way to get back home.

I dont remember all the specifics on it. But he has had that for 10 years id bet, and it was an all stock duramax pickup when he bought it.

All i can say is it is a pain to wash that thing! Since the entire frame underneath is smoothed and painted, ya have to clean it with a wash mitt as well lol
