This weekend's job was a 1998 Pathfinder that was pretty rough. There were many scuffs that went through the base coat (especially on the plastic lowers) and numerous scratches. The interior was pretty stained as well. I wanted to do a good job (well..I always do) b/c the owner is whom I buy my cigars from and is always good to me. Here's the process:
Wash:
wash and treat the wheels with OTC wheel cleaner and a toothbrush.
Clay surface
Exterior:
Didn't feel like dragging out my 2nd rotary with my wool pad so I tried an orange pad using SIP..worked well although a 2nd pass was needed for some of the scratches..no biggie..no dusting at all.
106ff with white pad
FMJ cured for at least an hour
Collinite
Tires with Megs endurance
OTC tire spray on wells
chrome bumpers got Blue Magic
Interior:
Glass got IG with 2 MF method
Folex on stains
10:1 Woolite on interior
303 to protect
BEFORES:
AFTERS:
And for my signature money shot (not as impressive as in black):
