My dad got his suburban back from a local detailer in the before pics

It was hideous........I mean really bad swirls and holograms, scratches , and scuffs all over the place. He paid some one $250+ to do this. The guy said he couldn't get the oxidation off the hood....I don't think he knew what he was doing. Well............

That was before I found this site and started detailing. This is my forth correction project. It's not perfect but a far cry better than it was.

After it was washed at the coin wash and ONR in the nice warm shop..............

I used: The wolfgang system and about 16 hrs

TSR
WGFG
WGDGPS
and Collinite 845 on top

Enjoy

Thanks for looking

how long after your dad had it "detailed" were the pictures taken? cause that IS NOT a freshly detailed vehicle

Man, that was quite the detailer huh? ha, guess we are not all autogeeks :dblthumb2:

Looks great man. Nice job!:props::props:

He paid $250 for that?!?!!?? WOOOOOWWWWWW!!! Great correction, but shocked he paid for that!!!!

It's crazy how someone can get that kind of money for a job like that. He should have gotten his money back. There's no reason to give a customer back their vehicle like that.

Thanks..............

Now I understand when you guys talk about the "Hack" detailers out there. And some customers don't know what a "Real" detail or paint corrections is . My dad will know from now on. He even asked me..... Whats the best way to wash it now ? :xyxthumbs:

And the best part...........I have already gotten another detail to do from this one.

A couple more pics

:postpics: (been wanting to use this for weeks - looks very entertaining!)

what was the detail shop suppose to do when they had the truck? and how soon after did you get it and take these pictures?

I would assume that he detailer was to wax and do a interior detail. He had this done before I found this site.....And Saw The Light :xyxthumbs:

I took pictures about a month after he got it back. I can tell the guy just didn't know what he's doing. The only way the truck gets washed is thru the auto coin op wash.

$250 for interior and wax? wow that is alot. and if that is all he did then the swirls were not made by the detailer. they were made by the coin op washes the truck goes through.

A bit much for that type of work...I spent 10 hours for a complete detail on a heavily oxidized 10 year old truck and charged $300.00 (slow times).

Wow! Looks great! :dblthumb2:

What machine and pads did you use?
