A question for Flex 3401 users

Just be advised of the heat the 3401 builds up vice the PC. By this I mean the actually heat the machine accumulates in the gear drive housing. But, as far as correction goes, the 3401 is going to save some time overall.

I take the manly way out with my detailing purchases. I make sure the package is delivered at times when my wife is unlikely to be home, unpack, put the supplies on the shelf as if they have always been there, and hide all evidence. She does the same with her clothing purchases. We both pretend not to notice. It all works out.

blows my mind how many "men" are controlled by their wives. Very few alpha males these days ;)

yayuhhhhh! Wooooooo! Alpha forrrr thuhhhh wynnnnnnn! High five bro!

Yeah I just bought a Flex too. Should be here tomorrow. Wife doesn't really care. I use my money from my side detailing jobs to buy big purchases like that. Just like when I spent 200$ on a can of Synergy. She had that look like I was crazy but she doesn't care.

Oh no, I've given you folks the wrong impression of my wife. I promise she has no past family connections to Attila the Hun! (Well, after considering her side of the family...) No, still no connections! Seriously, she has been my life for over 30 years and my wife for over 27. I would change nothing!

DetailKitty, no offense was taken! I laughed last night when I read your reply and laughed again this afternoon. The funny thing is that your reply has gotten as many responses as my question. You gotta love this forum!

That's good. It was an off the cuff response :D

I just get tired (working in a mostly male company) hearing men complain about not buying this or not going there because "their wife won't let them"...
I'm sick of being the gender scapegoat :bat:

Sounds funny coming from a single guy. :cruisin:
LOL....no problems attracting women here. ;) I choose to be unmarried for now. When I do get married, I'll still be my own person.

Ridiculous. The husbands might as well hand over their "jewels" to their wives. :nomore:

Getting a little back on topic here.... (sorry kids)

I find this as well... definite heat build up. Don't know if other machines do this or not. It doesn't affect my working with it. Sometimes I just take a break... this allows the Flex to cool off.

Does the heat build up affect how a product acts on the pad? Clumping, caking, or anything like that? How often would you say you have to take a break or switch to a fresh pad to avoid any problems?

Nothing wrong with being single :xyxthumbs:
And yeah, you don't need to loose your identity once you are married.

No, no issues with clumping.
I stop/change pads when I want... it's not dictated by heat build-up.
