Duragloss sealants have acrylic in them.
Jerry at duragloss told me a couple of days ago there is acrylic in 111 whether that means based, laced, 50% 10%. I dont't know call and ask him.I'm pretty sure DG 101, 105, 111 and 501 are polysiloxane based, not acrylic.

Where do you see that PBA is for siloxane based products and what is siloxane?I think those guys are starting to lose it. Several people have gotten conflicting answers to the same question. A prime example was DG501, if it has abrasives or not. It looks like they updated their site and the MSDS links are broken, but I don't remember seeing anything about acrylic in 111. Also if you look at PBA, its meant for siloxane based products.

Can a sealant have both ingredients polyaminosilicone and acrylic?Don't you think the inconsistency is chemists talking to laymen and trying to use terms they will understand? And when you are dumbing-down your language, it's bound to become imprecise and inconsistent. Maybe they try to tailor the language to their perception of the individual they are talking to, making it even more inconsistent.
The label says it's for polyaminosilicone polishes. Siloxane is another ingredient in sealants, etc.

I've see the the two used almost interchangeably. Do you have any references that show the difference?
Do acrylics bond by etching into the clear coat, rather than cross linking like non acrylic polymers?
Acrylic is acidic thats why it protects better agains acid rain, according to Dr. G. Not that he uses acrylic in any of his formulas.
After I posted that I looked into it and it seems Jerry might have made up "polyaminosilicone"Maybe Sal Zaino can help us on this.
EDIT: If you look it up as poly amino silicone, that works a little better, mostly under amino silicone. Maybe Jerry mixed a bunch of amino silicones together, and created a "polyaminosilicone". Or maybe Sal bumped into Jerry's test tubes and broke them and they all mixed together, and the rest is history?
