New customer called a few days ago, he got my name from a local auto spa where he usually takes his cars to get washed and sometimes waxed.
The owner there is honest enough to know what kind of work she can handle and what she can't.
She found out about me awhile back afte ranother customer happened to stop by her place in his 350 Z after i had detailed it. She asked him who keeps his car looking so good and that's how my name came up.
I have done several cars for some of her customers.
This guy is very into his cars and he definitely keeps all of them very clean but he was also aware that he needed to do more to the ZX than just a wash and wax.
He waited about a year to call me because he wanted to finish other projects, as you can see the interior is flawless, he put on new wheels, stereo system and engine work.
I definitely spend way more time on it than anticipated, mainly because there were issues i had not fully evaluated and this must have been some of the softest paint i have worked on in....forever.
In many of the pics you can see the swirls removed but still see plenty of patina in the paint. Every time i wiped off polish residue , the towel would create some lines in the paint again. Very frustrating, but in the end he was very happy.
After claying only half of the spoiler and this car is always garaged.
Evidence of the soft paint after it was clayed.
Removed the nozzle to work on this spot
Taped up and ready to go
A little wetsanding to flatten this spot, not sure what created this
Spot getting smaller
Gone
Some more sanding
After swirl remover with white 3M pad
Driver door before
After S/R
Then the daily storms came in
50/50 under limited lighting
