I would like to apply Mike's principal of "use the least aggresive product." There are so many on this site with an abundance of experience and I would welcome any advise in choosing the correct pad and product combo.

I have some very faint (isolated) swirls I'd like to remove and I'm concerned with how much polishing is too much. My paint is still in very good condition, but there's enough fine swirls I'd like to polish the paint. Since purchasing it I have done the following:
  • WG 3 step process with my PC 7424xp this past spring (1st time with PC 90% satisfifed with my results for a newbie)
  • M205 with a LC white pad several months ago and it's currently sealed with WGDGPS, and fuzion.
  • The products I am contemplating using are the WGFG 3.0 or M205
I plan on keeping this car for years to come and want to protect the longevity of the paint. Considering I've already done the above detailing in a less than a years time I'm curious if it would be ok to use the M205 w/LC white pad again, or should I try a LC green pad or LC gray pad. My goal is to polish paint removing the faint swirls and protect it for the winter.

Thanks,
David

:work: Aren't BOBO's today????

Do a test spot starting with the least aggressive pad to see which one gives you the desired results. As far as timing, you're perfectly fine going over the car with any of the pads listed(and M205). :dblthumb2:

Yes, the new BOGO will be posted later today.

Is that your vehicle in the picture? If so I would use WG Finishing Glaze 3.0 with a 5.5'' Finishing Pad like the LC Crimson Hydro Tech pad or LC Flat black pad with your machine at speed 6. If this isnt good enough for you then switch to a LC Tang. Hydro Tech Pad or LC Flat White pad with WG Finishing Glaze 3.0 Then again if oyur not please keep the same pad and switch to WG Swirl Remover 3.0 or M205. So on and so forth. Once you are please with the results seal the paint then apply another coat of sealant after 12 hours or apply your favorite wax

If you driver your vehicle daily polish it once a year and wash your vehicle properly once a week and wax your vehicle ever 1-2 month and seal it every 4-6 and you will be fine. If you plan on keeping your vehicle a long time dont polish it every couple of months because every time you polish the vehicle you are taking a little bit of clear coat off. The more clear you have on the paint the longer it will last.

Yes, that's my vehicle in the picture. It seems as if it has very hard paint. It's a large project for and I'm slowly trying to stock up on pads and other items as I learn. Would I expect to see much of a difference in performance between the LC CCS smart pad vs. the Hydro tech pad?? I had been considering the green or gray LC ccs smart pad. Using a finishing pad with the WGFG 3.0 would there be enough cut to remove the old wax and sealant? The least amount of steps the better. :xyxthumbs:
