Guys... can oyu use paper or anything other than Styrofoam peanuts as they go everywhere when opening!!!! I get stuff from other detailing companies and the bubble wrap and mini air pillows are so much nicer for my front yard and unpacking....

thx!

Hi Glen,
I believe the default packing material is peanuts but you can specify paper in the comments field when placing an order online. Believe it or not they actually read that box!

:iagree:

Sometimes with larger orders they include paper packing, but with smaller orders they just use packing peanuts.

Very nice to know we can specify using paper as packing material. I hate those peanuts since they always have a charge that causes them to cling to everything. Another plus for paper packing is more environment friendly.

They start off non static lol the travels make them very clingy

I think Autogeek really needs to make this more known like a check box option when you check out

Something that makes you check how you would like it packed and also who to deliver it by (of course profits may be lost in doing something like this)

But there is one of these threads every week :nomore: :surrender:

I know they are a PIA but, I like them on shipments with liquids in them. With the way things are handled I know the chances of damage are reduced....

They are by farrrr the best packing material as far as safety I wouldn't trade them for anything!

I vote for caramel popcorn in the boxes. Detail supplies and a snack, all in one package. Win, win!

I don't mind them as long as I am getting free shipping.

They do have a business to run. I bet if they packaged better it would cost them more and the minimum for free shipping would also increase... I'll take the peanuts

You just can't argue with facts.....:props:

I agree with David and Pockets....they are definitely a PIA but I've never received and item damaged.

Waaaa, waaaaa, waaaaa.....can you guys not find something legitimate to complain about. AG's job is to get the stuff to you in one piece. Don't sweat the small stuff, life will give you plenty to complain about eventually.

I ran an consumer products company for a while and you can find many packing solutions that cost the same for AG and protect as well as peanuts...and we sent out the same type of items as AG; liquids, parts, etc...so it's win win for everyone. I'll specify paper from now on..I'm glad I asked and they can accomodate!

no one is whining here, obviously if they have accommodated for this, they've heard it before and it's a legit request....

To ease the static problem put your hard tap water to work for you. Hard tap water is a nice conductive medium to dissipate static on the foam peanuts. Wet your hands under the tap and then remove the peanuts, they won't stick to or hands! Another thing to try is misting some clean tap water in the box, assuming the moisture won't bother whatever goodies remain in the box. Hard water sucks when it comes to maintaining a spot free finish, but it's just the ticket to keep those peanuts from jumping back onto your arms from your collection bag!

Great. Next order I am specifying that I want my products wrapped and protected with soft microfiber blankets.

I couldn't care less about the environmental "green" factor, but they are a PITA, they get everywhere!

I don't mind the peanuts. They work well and serve their purpose.

I end up reusing them for stuff I ship out anyway.
