if you don't use them for detailing i'm sure you can find something useful for them. if you have dogs and/or cats, put their water and/or food bowl inside of them... *shrugs shoulders*
LOL! Thanks Visitor. I looked at them and couldn't figure anything out. Was gonna use them as a Frisbee for the neighbors dog!
I received them as a 'free gift' on orders over $150.00 a little bit ago. Didn't know what I was going to get. I got these useless pads...unless you have their special backing plate they are just that. Useless.
I tried looking up some info on them and the only thing I could find was from way back in like 2011 or so. Doesn't even appear as if they are sold anymore. So I guess I got whatever got pulled out of the 'old stuff' storage closet! LOL!!!!
^^^LOL WaxMaster! They really weren't...I found the guy that did the original review on them back in 2011...he's local to me and has the backing plate. He's getting them...straight outta my can! James K: here they come! LOL
At first I was going to say this review was kinda harsh, but at the same time to include a free gift in an order that is virtually useless is bad on AG, so this review is worthy!
Yeah, that system was a difficult sell for LC. I remember the awkward discussions here on the forum about it. Mike Phillips liked them because when you have a disposable pad, when you work on a priceless car, you can (cost effectively--except I don't remember them being "cheap") use only new pads on it, without worrying about having some contaminants from a previous use.
Lake Country tried to justify them by saying that foam breaks down with use and that you just don't get the performance out of the pad anymore after one or two uses...which led to the inevitable question "you mean your regular pads aren't any good to use anymore after a couple of uses??", which they then tried to walk back.
Oh my... I remember getting the winning ticket for this setup. I remember all the hype leading up to the release date too. Then the first time I tried them... In the can they went...
I think your photos should be reversed! Those are car show coasters for your beverages. Placing a large convenience store coffee/soda insulated mug (32-64oz) in the recess and place foam coaster and mug on hood, roof, or deck lid
How about nut and bolt holder for placing on your cowling, again it appears to be "paint safe".
Jaretr1: I didn't want it to come off that way...I just found it funny and was like, what the heck, I'll post it up! LOL. When I received them, I was like, wha??????
I'm glad some are getting a kick out of this thread! And some good uses/suggestions in here too!
