I just got back from trying to get to the interstate from my house. All I can say is that the pictures, videos, and words just don't describe what it truly looks like. It is surreal to see empty spaces where buildings were just yesterday. And it's hard to get my mind around the strength required to twist and move the stuff I've seen twisted and moved. Things like railroad cars and radio station towers. But also overwhelming is the outpouring of assistance. There are people from all over the country here clearing trees, restoring power, feeding people, setting up shelters, and doing anything they can to help...including searching for people still missing. Things like this make me so incredibly grateful for everything I've been blessed with.
