Any Amazon Prime members?

......
I'm sorry you're unhappy with what is one of my top five companies to do business with!

No problem! I wasn't trying to say that EVERY item didn't ship until I've paid $25 total, just that the items I used to purchase. I used to fly rc helicopters all the time and would get a 3 pack of batteries for $5 and now they're an add on item.

Some of my favorite pens are $3 but now are add on. I understand that they're cost prohibitive to ship, but they weren't a problem to send to me before. At least, they never told me they were!

Also, students do get streaming as far as I know, just not with the free trial...

So if they switched the television to a sub par tv; what's the difference in them switching the service that I initially paid for in the middle of my $80 year?

I paid for free 2 day shipping, not steaming video. They changed that service 7 months into the prepaid term.

Sure, they covered their asses in their T&C that I agreed to but it's still not great for me.

You're right everyone should hear both sides of the story. This is my side. I would say that they are one of my top five to do business with too, but I was simply stating that the prime membership is not what it used to be and also alluding to the fact that the article posted was incorrect that they have not reduced the cost/benefit ratio before.

Cool name by the way, definitely wish the show wasn't over.

Wait, what else does prime get you besides free shipping and streaming video? Costco is a different animal. That's not the best comparison in my opinion.

I think they should allow $80 for free shipping, drop the add on program and charge $40 if you want video; but you have to pay the $80 first, you can't just get the video. Still just my opinion

I don't care if they do hike the Prime membership. My husband and I have it. Paying $40 more a year would amount to nothing... I on average place 3-4 orders a month with Amazon. Prime saves me a fortune in shipping.

Not only that, but I find their price on the item itself is usually cheaper than other vendors.

That's why I'm still a customer but do not subscribe to prime. I find that saving a few bucks a year on items under $35 is not worth $80 and anything over 35 is where the real savings are... I get free shipping on those anyway.

I guess that's the beauty of a capitalist society; you get to choose.

I'm a proud Prime member, my wife and I both save money by being a member.

You make a great point. It has definitely changed. I would probably call myself a bit of an Amazon fanboy!

And yes, it's a shame it's over. But now we've got Cardinals baseball looming, so there's something to fill that Breaking Bad sized hole in my heart... :props:

Got email as well. I mean, for as much as I use it for, i am not going to worry. I just got mine increased by a month for missing a delivery date. I do find better pricing on some things at other sites including shipping, but its normally ground and would take longer and maybe by a few bucks. So it depends on how fast I want what I am ordering.

I will probably continue membership. I've enjoyed using prime. My gf and I are big online shoppers and the shipping at the price they provide is a win.

Prime works for me. No driving all over town to look for/buy a product. Two day delivery is usually here. Easy return. I do always compare prices as Amazon usually has the best price but not always. YMMV.

What is the streaming selection part of prime? I can not seem to find a list of the shows/movies the are free.
