was lookin around to maybe try a new glass cleaner and it looks like they got 9 million types.wtf?

I Don't know all the types but from my impressions using them:
The normal blue one is no better than any other glass cleaner and glassworks I found to be streaky and a pain In the @&$ to use.

I can't help you on the other 8,999,998 of them.

One of their problems is that they never retire anything. When they come out with a reformulation or a new line of products, the old ones are still available.

Like a house full of junk where nothing is thrown out, at some point you have so much stuff, you don't even know what you have, or why you kept it.

That is true, but some people like to stick to the good ol stuff..maybe that's why Black Magic is still in business?

john, use Adams window cleaner.
They are the BEST window cleaner i have ever used

As much as the new labels from CG attracts me, i still tell myself not to buy their 16oz.
Simply because they have like 10 different variations of 1 product.

was lookin around
RE: (Your thread-starter title)..."any human beings know the difference between cg glass cleaners"

Perhaps (someday) the anthropologists will study this particular-difference scenario of human-beings: "knowing".

After all...
It was the anthropologists that discovered the cave paintings that depicted that some of the 'earliest Human-beings' having traits such as:
Creativity, Consciousness/Awareness, Personalities, and even Abstract Thinking...that other Human-beings of that time (40-50,000 years ago)...
did not, or could not, comprehend ("know") what the "Artistes" of their day were expressing.

Is it possible, then, that in our present day and time here on Earth (the 2010's)...
That there are modern-day Human-beings that can't comprehend ("know of") the same anthropologically-discovered:
Creativity, consciousness/awareness, personalities, and even the abstract-thinking...of the Human-beings
that are associated with the: "Caves of the Chemical Guys"?

In the above example:
Whom, in your opinion, would be considered the: Advanced amongst the specie?

One of the reasons I don't buy CG products.

Do yourself a favor and pick up some meguiars glass cleaner concentrate and be done.

I'm on my second bottle of sonax glass cleaner and never looking back. Best I've ever used. And I'd also like to add I gave away my bottle of chemical guys glassworks. It was awful.

With the price of D120 I dont know why you would ever need anything else.

Even windex beats the CG Glassworks lol
I poured mine down the drain

Well considering I only know human beings I don't know the diff between them but all I use right now is some aresol glass cleaner from CarQuest with great results, but then again my windows have lots of wax/sealants on them, so they clean up very easy!

Sent from my SPH-M930 using AG Online

You have to read up on what they have.
I was looking for a good compound and ran across the v34, I must say I really love it.
I also have their Maxi-Suds car soap, 5 stars IMO
Their VRT is also great.

I have used Chemical Guys in my detail shop for awhile now and love most of their products. But for a window cleaner I use Sprayway, but will switch to Poorboys as soon as it comes out. I got a chance to demo the product and it works great and as with all of Poorboys products the price I'm sure will be good. As soon as it's released for sale I would at least give it a try. You will like it I'm sure. as with others I was not impressed with Glassworks, but it did smell really good.

I was excited when I bought glassworkz. It was a cool red color, it smelled fantastic, but it was easily the worst glass cleaner I've ever used. It actually felt sticky trying to wipe off the window. It was just awful

I did some glass cleaner comparisons and reviews a while back but AG didn't sell two of the three products I compared so I never posted it here. I also went on after that review to test another glass cleaner so I guess I should update it and post it here at some point since AG now sells Auto Finesse which was one they didn't sell back when I did the review.

Anyway, after using invisible glass (foam) for a few years then switching to sprayway (foam) for many years I got sick of foam and found that non foaming liquid glass cleaners are much more effective and clean larger areas more evenly with less product. With foam cleaners they clean great where the glob of foam lands but not as good when it thins out and you spread it. So I tested Adam's, Auto Finesse Crystal, CG Glassworkz and then Meg's D120.

While no glass cleaners should be used in direct sun on hot glass (most bottles actually note that) I did test them that way when I did my testing just to see what they would do under a extreme stress test and what they'd do in proper conditions of cool glass in shade.

CG Glassworks is the best smelling but worst working. If the glass is hot at all you'll need to apply it a second time to get rid of any streaks no matter how good your technique is. On cool glass in shade it's manageable but certainly the worst of the bunch. It does work better diluted than straight out of the bottle. If you're really into great smelling products and don't mind a less effective cleaner that's a bit harder to work with then of course it's manageable and not horrible but it's honestly not the one I'd recommend. I did find I like it for cleaning around the house though counters, kitchen table, mirrors etc so I use it for that thanks to the great smell.

Auto Finesse Crystal is excellent at cleaning and not streaking even if you're lazy and only use one towel (I always use two, one for actual cleaning and the other as a dry buffing towel) but it smells horrible like 100% pure alcohol which is a negative when it's used inside a car since the smell lingers a bit. On exterior windows the powerful alcohol smell isn't a problem though.

Adam's glass cleaner is an excellent all around glass cleaner with a nice citrus scent too. Very effective and easy at warding off streaks even on hot glass in the sun or when using just one towel. It is however a bit pricey when compared to the others.

Meg's D120 is now my new favorite go to glass cleaner. Works extremely well and smells great, like grape. It's also $19.99 for a gallon that then makes 11 gallons with of glass cleaner, so it's the cheapest option too. It has less alcohol than AF Crystal so it's just a bit less effective at cutting through gunk and resisting streaks when using a one towel method but it's a very minor difference and the cost and better scent more than make up for that difference.

That's the basic rundown on the glass cleaners I've used.
