Anyone try McKee’s Graphene Deep Gloss Ceramic Sealant?

Why do you suspect your towels to be the culprit?

Because of this:

1 thing I noticed as I was buffing off the Armor All… I was using a brand new Kirkland microfiber since I had just got a new batch in the night before and holy crap I hadn’t felt anything that smooth in forever! i was blown away at how easy and smooth it felt to wipe it off and my 1st thought was “damn that’s what I’ve been missing out on”?

It’s been so long since I had bought new towels because I was under the impression that my towels were more than adequate, afterall I make sure to keep at least 2 main batches separate. 1 for Paint + 1 batch for General Purpose/Interior towels. But seeing the difference in how that new towel felt compared to the ones I’ve been using for paint for who knows how long, hit me like a ton of bricks.

9 week update: The hood has been untouched for the past 7 weeks. Out in the sun + we’ve had several days of rainfall. When I gave the initial rinse with the hose the McKee’s side was completely flat and the Armor All side was still somewhat beading, but not very fiercely.

My 1st thought was the paint might just be clogged, so I gave the hood a quick wash with Megs Hyper Wash. This is the post wash rinse. I know it’s very hard to see because this paint is white, but the McKee’s side is completely dead. The Armor All side still has some beading. This fight is over. We have a clear winner.

Nine weeks for a traditional sealant like this is pretty disappointing. Even some spray-on sealants these days will beat that. I easily got 6~7 months out of Wolfgang's SiO2 Paint Sealant and have seen around 8~9 weeks from the TW Hybrid Solutions Spray Coating.
