Now that APC+ has been discontinued with no follow up that I have heard of, what are your thoughts on a replacement product? I really like APC+ for certain things.

???

I use APC+ quite often and love it! Only time I break out OPC now is when I need heavy duty.

APC+ smells better, doesn't foam up nearly as much, and IMO is stronger and more diluteable than the original.

while OPC costs 3x more than apc+, it's worth it and it's one product that's in my top 10 I couldn't be without...

:iagree:

My wife even uses it on our stainless appliances. It's the only cleaner that we've found that will remove ALL of the kids fingerprints and leave no streaks!

I switched to HD Total. So far so good.

What dilution and how does she "rinse" it off? I want my girlfriend to start using OPC to clean around our apartment because she loves using expensive Lysol wipes. I'm just a bit weary since Optimum recommends that OPC be rinsed off.

i believe that only the 1 gallon size is discontinued, not the product itself. as pure shine said it is still available in larger sizes.

This does contain sodium hydroxide. I'm not going to tell you not to use it, just use with care.

The main reason I don't use HD cleaning products is that virtually all contain sodium hydroxide, including their car wash and towelkleen. I do commend them for not hiding it by making their msds sheets hard to obtain.

Ardex proper and new wave both contain the same alkaline ingredient as APC+. Most bulk chemical providers are going to have an APC with these same active ingredients, just compare the msds sheets to find something that will behave very similar.

I've been wanting to try 1z blitz. The dilution is very cost effective and I've heard great things about it.

I have 3 gallons in my inventory cause I thought I had heard it was going to be canceled. Im not sure what I am going to do in 39 years when I run out LOL

3x more is lot for the bottom line. I can buy the 5 gallon of APC + for $50. sorry but no APC is worth $50 a gallon.

50 a gallon? I buy OPC for 35 a gallon and with all the deals AG runs I can usually get it for 30 bucks...

APC+ is works excellent with carpet extractors. It foams very little, and is hard to beat. I also obtained a 5 gallon jug, hopefully by the time I'm out there will be another COST EFFICIENT apc with no foam.

this is an interesting response. different than the one i read from Micheal Stoops at megs.

excellent product. i honestly find myself using it all the time as a pretreat for carpets/interiors and a towel cleaner. it has a very pleasant scent IMO.
