Audi A6 Delivered by Carmax..... Compound sling included.

One of my regular customers received this A6 from Carmax. It arrived with compound sling literally on every panel AND the interior door gaskets. Easy enough to remove, but made me wonder why they would have compounded the whole car unless it was resprayed and not reported. Used 303 Tire cleaner, Meg's tire shine, Meg's Liquid Cleaner Wax, Stoner Invisible Glass, 303 Protectant, LC Hydro Tech pads and PC DA Polisher. The customer posted to my page that they didn't even know the paint was metallic until after I cleaned it.
 
Nicely done! Always great when they see the 'true' paint after you are done!
 
If that's left over compound or polish product in those 1st 3 pics they didn't even wipe it down thoroughly! Looks great now though.

Thanks so much ! Yeah, I don't know how that car got out the door like that. No clue what Carmax policies are as far as detailing, but this one slipped through the cracks for sure.... or they did it in the dark
 
gotta love those knock it out detailers,,I get them from the sale sometimes with compound slung from one end of the car to the other with swirls burnt into the paint real good.
to boot they usually hose off the floor mats and throw them in the trunk still dripping so you get a lovely odor to go with it.(and mold)
I really like that color,grays and silvers are my favorite because they look great clean and are easier (for me at least) to keep that way,
 
I literally just cringed at the thought of throwing the wet mats in the trunk....
