Hi guys!
First of all I wanna say hello to everyone as I'm new to this forum. Therefore as I've written above I'm going to detail my dad's Q7 2011 but I'm not quite sure what to start with .. I mean the paint actually is in good condition and doesn't have any huge swirls that are so conspicuous but all I've spotted so far are single, shallow scratches in some places (not so many of them) especially around the fuel filler cap. My goal is to get a high gloss and shine to the car. So should I polish the whole car or just simply put some product on to get some kind of shine? Another I'd say big problem are waterspots on the roof as it's a glass roof which are quite annoying.

I think the best way is to get the whole car polished but my dad is scared of polishing as he says that his car isn't very old and it's gonna make the paint weaker and less resistant to the surroundings. I explained him that a car doesn't need to be old for polishing process and that people polish even their brand new cars.

Could you please suggest what could I start with and which products to use? In case of polishing what product and pads to use? I'm gonna work with a Flex 3401.

Thx in advance.

Welcome.
Start with a polish and see what it removes. I personally like meguiars 205 and also menzerna sf4000.

What KillaCam said is a good idea cause it wont remove as much clear coat but will bring a nice shine while removing some light swirls as for the water spots you could get a acid water spot remover or you could get a combo like meguiars m105 and m205 or menzerna fg400 and sf4000

for water spots on glass. i have used meguiars water spot remover with a 4" finishing foam pad on my PC on the 4 setting and it completely removed all water spots from my glass without instilling scratches. it took a little bit of effort and you cannot allow the product to dry so once its on and you worked the area wipe it off. work in small sections and give it 2 or 3 passes wipe and check if they are still there try again.

thank you so much guys ;) but one more question what pads should I use both while polishing and removing water spots? I wanna polish just a little bit to get a high gloss and shine as the car doesnt't have any swirls and the paint looks very good so I'm gonna work with the least agressive product possible and I will use quite soft pads. But it's confusing to me to choose the best quality ones as there is so many of them on the market, and after I finish polishing do I go straight to put some paint protection or could I put some other product to make the gloss stronger and last for longer?

P.S gonna work with the Flex 3401.

just wanted to mention I'm gonna go with the mozerna products

LC white polish pad should do it i would recommend sticking with flat pads or ccs pads with the flex. just polish and seal the sealant will encase your work you can top the sealant off with a carnauba wax if you would like.
