Auto Glym HI-DEF Wax worth the $35? vs Collinite 915?

So Iv'e seen Wal-Mart carry Auto Glym HI-Def wax for about $35 and was wondering if it's worth the price. Collinite 915 is $30. Is it much better? Anyone used both to compare?
 
I am curious about this too. On a whim I bought the HD - it applies really easily and wipes off well too. I was in the rain today and noticed nice beading and a great shine. Still curious as to how long the wax will last (for the winter I plan on using FK1000P).
 
Auto Glym HD Wax can compete with $100 waxes any day. I paid $75 for AGHD before it came to Wal Mart and thought it was a great deal at the time. Really really good product. Produces a nice deep wet look, and very easy to use.

Good info, thanks guys. I purchased two containers up here in Canada, for $30 each (from memory). Haven't had a chance to use it yet, hopefully will detail my suv this weekend.

Same could be said about the 915 though, and while I haven't used HD yet 915 was so easy to use. Also 915 will without a doubt last longer- more product per dollar. My recommendation would be, if you could afford both....get both. I have around 20 LSP's now and love them each in their own right. I will be picking up HD within the next few weeks :xyxthumbs:

:iagree: I was at pep boys the other day and they now carry it for $35 along with some of the other autoglym line. i guess autoglym has gone OTC.
 
I highly recommend Autoglym HD Wax. For the price there is no reason not to pick it up. Here's a link to a thread of mine with videos showing how water sheets/beads with HD Wax (applied by itself, nothing under or over it) on clean paint, then one month later.

The two video's (with the pressure washer) are only a couple days old. It's been on just over a month and still beads sheets very well. Watch how fast the water falls off the door panel in the last 1 second of the 2nd video, I love it. :D
 
Nice mark up! They must have made enough money from prior purchasers to finally bring it to Walmart and sell it at that price. WOW! Crazy!
 
Well, I just picked up a box. 35 bucks for the 5.3oz of wax, two applicator pads, and a microfiber cloth.

Other than washing, waxing, claying, and a Meg's #7 polish, and Meg's Gold class... all done by hand about a month ago, I've done no corrections to the car. It has light-mild swirling when I took all of the wax and stuff off the car before I did that process.

I'm going to wash the car in the morning with some Meg's car wash and apply some of the Auto Glym. I'll take pics before, after the wash, then after the wax.
 
Due to impending rain, I wanted to get the vehicles done ASAP so I didn't get any pics during. I did get a few shots today. It is gray and misty out. Not really raining, but a thick mist. I've got some nice "wet look" pics. ;)

Edit: No that isn't my house with the fugly mold on the siding! Ugh, if the old woman that lived there wasn't such a witch I'd go powerwash it myself. Her husband is such a nice guy too!
