Az Detail - Black C7 Stingray Save - Pigtails and Holograms

Outstanding job! There is no excuse for a new car to be delivered in that condition.

Awesome work!

I'm always excited to see you and Dani's work. Great job. Now for a silly but serious question. Have you considered pitching for a reality show. So many people so less deserving actually got a reality show. For the fantastic work you do I think it's something well worth pitching. At the very least you should give it some serious thought. I am an office manager of a publishing company and I've seen very few exceptional writers on this forum. You are one.

What a great job. How many section passes were made with the microfiber/105 to ensure correction?

First off let me start by saying I like the new logo. Second that was a masterpiece turnaround for sure. The car looks the way a vette should look. Once again I enjoying reading your posts with the included pictures, you and your sister did a damn good job. You guys always do good work. Thanks for posting and sharing, until next time. What handheld flashlight you using, just curious.

Thanks a million for the kind words. I'm glad you noticed and liked the logo! Just had it done by a very cool guy, he really took his time and listened to all of our whining, but in the end it turned out nice..and different.

Glad you enjoyed the write up...i was excited to do it. I expected it to just a small write up with sweet after pics when we first booked the job, but then once we SAW it we were like...ooooh no...this one is gonna be LONG. Clear out the memory chip for the camera!

The light was either a little Energizer LED we got from Target, or one from Walmart, cant remember the brand from walmart, but it was about $20. The Energizer one is nice because its very small, the walmart one is a BIT brighter though (both are around 200 lumens)

wow speechless. great job

So were we hahaha, thank you.

Wow.. great turn around. Looks like someone washed it with a bag of leaves x10 beforehand... Great job on both the write up & vehicle!

Or maybe the just raked the leaves off :dblthumb2: Thanks for the kind words.

That's one for the restoration hall of fame; great work!

If a person only saw the paint close-up photos beforehand, they'd think you must have been working on a 1960's barn find. It's just shocking that made it out of the factory like that and not one person rejected it.

Did you get to exercise your LHR75 much on this one?

As always, really appreciate the time and effort you put into photo-documenting.

Thats a perfect description. NO WAY you'd imagine this was only 6 weeks old! I dont think we used the LHR much on this one, mainly because the air hose was tied up with the blow gun to keep the mf pads clean... the PC got a lot of use though with a small pad...mainly on the back end.

And I as always appreciate you taking the time to read, look and comment...its always fun to see the replies :)

Awesome work!! That sucker was hammered.

The first C7 I saw was black! That color makes the C7 look even more awesome.

Black does look SWEET on this car...and then with the sort of asphalt grey inserts in the vents and under the rear clip...it was a nice accent i though. LOTS of work, but fun to look at :dblthumb2:

Awesome work on the black beauty.
What did the previous guy do? wash with steel wool and polish with dirt? damn!

Possible, very very possible lol. Im not quite sure i WANT to know

1st, amazing work and you should be very proud, it's outstanding.
2nd, that was just ridiculous the shape that stingray was in. I'd probably notify the dealer on something like that, i don't know, I just don't see how something like that could slip past anyone's quality control. Although I probably give people too much credit, it was probably the dealership management that just said row some glaze on it.

He will be approaching the dealer, probably woulda been better if we had of had him do it before hand, but he just wanted it DONE - and i don't blame him...we'll see if the offer SOME compensation. And yes it had to be filled like crazy since this stuff didn't start showing up till after it was washed according to the owner.

Beautiful turnaround. You guys did a fantastic job on that Vette. Glad you were able to power through that mess.

Power and finesse...little sucker was a bit of a pain to finish down on the back end and marred easily on the roof for whatever reason...but with the right touch it cooperated :)

Mann!! You saved that C7's life. Great work!!

Thank you!

Great work, that corvette was hacked up when you started:props:

Lol yeah thats no doubt the truth...glad it turned out good in the end though :)

Outstanding job! There is no excuse for a new car to be delivered in that condition.

Ive seriously seen USED car dealerships with hacked up cars that were LESS hacked up than this (if you can follow that lol). I hope this doesnt become a trend for the new C7 like it seems to have with the black Tesla's especially.

Awesome work!

Honest I'd never really thought about it - you really think it would get much of a following? We did have one client that said we should but i thought he was just kiddin around. He said we should call it "Detailers 911" lol

If you'd like to expand on your idea feel free to PM me email me, my email is in my signature. I really appreciate the compliments on my writing - i give credit to my godpapa who is a poet laureate, i think i picked up on a few things from him along the way :). But if you're serious i'd love to hear you out - just hit me up.

What a great job. How many section passes were made with the microfiber/105 to ensure correction?

We were usually around 4-5 section passes. On bad areas id spritz with a little water and do a couple extra, lots of pressure, slow arm speed and lots of pad cleaning and inspection.

That thing was trashed for being new. Nice job on bringing it back to top form. :)

Incredible job!
The individual(s) who inflicted that damage should be ashamed of themselves and NEVER be allowed near a vehicle again! That seems criminal to me.

Excellent job and write up! I sure hope the owner notifies the dealer. I would be raising holy hell if it was mine after paying that much for a car. (I was pissed about a few minor scratches on my new Honda Civic and let them know it.)

Love it, Will. I would've never took delivery of that thing with it looking that way... He soule had the dealer pay for the correction!

Finest ftw!

 Absolutely fantastic job! A great write up as well with superb documentation! That C7 deserved the job that your gave it!

Sick write up. That's how the customer should receive the car from the factory but what fun would that be lol

Super good work there! Great write up as well. Love seeing the difference after a full correction! :xyxthumbs:

I still can't believe the condition the dealership left that C7 in.

Wow that's an awesome picture display, that thing was shockingly messed up considering its a newer car, great job
