Hi all, Had a bad day today not sure what happened yet but something caused a fire in my shop after i left for the day. I dont know when i will be able to even get back in or find out what happened. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks

Ouch. I can't even imagine what you are going through. It'll be a hassle for sure. Even if your shop is insured, you will still lose income during repair. Wishing you all the best mate.

Really sorry for what happened, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Hope you get back to work and clear things up soon

Sorry to hear that.

Be sure to get a copy of the fire report from the FD for your own records, and contact your insurance company. Be firm when the adjuster comes out, remember that he is trying to save the company money by keeping the payout lower.

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully, no one was hurt. Like DaGonz says, keep the records and don't let the adjuster mess with you. They aren't all bad, hopefully you have a good agent.

Like the Phoenix, you can rise from the ashes. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sorry to hear this. Best wishes that everything works out for you.

Fires are terrible and as long as you weren't hurt everything else can be replaced...Thoughts and prayers...

Thanks everyone no one was hurt (i am the only employee). At this time i dont have much info the FD needs to send an inspector out to look over everything and determine the cause.

rags in a pile on the floor will billed up heat and can start a fire. Also dont smoke in your shop.

Update. I got the fire investigators report today. The believe there was a short in the wiring to the heat lamps in my spray booth that started the fire. over all damage estimate is 200k to 300k. Now that i have the report i am waiting on the insurance adjuster.

Sounds like there was a lot of damage. Good luck on your rebuild. Hopefully the adjuster is resasonable and isn't out to save every possible penny for the insurance company.
