Hey guys, I'm finally ready to buy a polisher. An I have looked and looked and read watched just about everything possible on the polisher.

Ive been detailing my car as well as others for a while now an by hand is getting old

So my question is this not as to which is better etc etc but what are the main differences between the major da's

Mainly the megiuars griots and pc

Besides brands what are the major differences though make someone buy on over the other

And then with that being said Is the flex really that big of a difference for the extra 200 or should I wait and get that a little later?

Of the three DAs you've listed, I've heard that the Griot's has the most power. I have the PCXP and it has more than enough power to do what I require of it and it's well built. That being said, you may quickly outgrow any of three. The Flex does cost considerably more, but it is more powerful, better built, and more ergonomic than the others.

The PC is the most reliable, the GG has a record of breaking, no comment on the Megs and the Flex is not really worth the extra money. All 4 will give you the same end results.

PC for sure. i have no need for a flex since i would use a rotary for all major corrections.

So if I go pc which brand of pads do u guys recommend and im assuming the 5 inch pad correct?

If your only doing a couple cars a month get the gg, if your doing more and need dependability get the pc

I have meguierso and pc. I like the megs over the pc. It is stringer with the cruise control and the pc vibrates so bad it numbs my hands.

I love my Flex but I have no experience with anything else. I've heard that the others vibrate a lot. If you have the extra money grab the flex. Sturdy and smooth. If you are planning on going with the MF discs go with the GG. As you can see Z06 likes the GG and he does a lot of cars with the MF discs. I'm very tempted to try them but I'm saving up for my white TL baby!!!!! Next year after the snow melts I'm all over that. I'll have to change my name though.

I use the PC XP and although it may take you a little bit longer than the flex would, it's worth saving the extra couple bucks as a novice.

Well here's my question why do u say that, do u think the GG does a better job or feels better because to me if it does better a I'll have more cars and can maybe bump the price just barely and if that's the case it would pay for itself by the time it breaks so why would u say GG only if u do a little?

And I had my car it's a 94 Mazda, and when he did a full paint correction the dumb ass literally burnt away almost all if not all my clear coat in a couple places but my CC Is light everywhere anyways so my question is this. One what are some solutions for that, and do will it be a bad idea to use any of there polishers on my car? It's my baby so if I screw it up im gonna be upset lol.

And what's the best solution to this, because if it's just to get more CC sprayed I'm just gonna save up and get it resprayed

Really? I am not on the site every day, but, I rarely see or hear of anyones GG breaking (except for the guy who ran over his). If it does, they will replace it for lifetime (of course, the down time could be painful waiting on the replacement). After enough complaining, they even replaced the guy's who ran over his.

I'm not talking about only AG ;)

That just took me by surprise. I do only visit this site, so I dont see others. Odd that other sites have problems, but, this one does not. Mine has been solid, but, only gets used for about 5 or 6 cars per year. Of course, I just bought the Flex 3401. Now the GG will prob get used even less (assuming I like the Flex as much as I expect to).
