My girlfriend just bought a used Jeep Liberty Sport Blackberry Pearl color.
Of course the day she looked at it, it was all shiny. I know they use a cheap yellow filler wax to make it look like this. One car wash later the wax is gone and now the entire jeep has swirls. I am sure this from going through a brush car wash and also a bristle brush being used to wipe snow off.
We used Wolfgang Uber Compound 3 with an LC Orange Smart Pad Orange Light Cutting CCS Smart Pads™ DA 5.5 inch Foam Pad
I have a PC 7424XP which was set on lvl 5 initially then tried a few passes on lvl 6.
running it back and forth and side to side over each area.
We got about 90% of the swirls out but some scratches and defects still remain, they are not past the clear coat but they don't seem to want to come out...
After using the Uber compound we used an LC tangerine pad with Blackfire SRC Polish then we used an LC Red pad to apply Blackfire Midnight Sun Wax with the buffer on a speed of about 2.
The before and after photos are attached... What other pads, compounds etc. could we use or I am just being too fussy ?
