Best All Around Polishing Compound?

Scholls Spider Sandwich White or Blue, BnS Low-Pro Green, LC ThinPro Grey, GG Boss White, if I need less cut or one step LC Hybrid Orange on 3401 or LC Yellow Flat.
Thanks. I've tried it on a couple of those pads with great results. XXL is awesome. Just got some Scholl S20 Black. Can't wait to try.

Currently in the Arsenal, M100 ( I can correct anything with this) M101, D300, FG400, GGFCC, GGCC. I cut with MF only, haven't even touched foam in a long time except to polish. Clean your pad often and you'll be surprised what you can do on any paint from hard to soft. For polishing my go to is sonax perfect finish. My 1-step ( correcting step) I finish down LSP ready, polishing is just bringing it out more. I can pass my 1-steps off cause the level of correction is on par with a 2-step. I don't like haze/ micro marring

Assuming you mean a compound and not a polish. Here's MY EXPERIENCE. You already have more experienced answers though.

Quick answer: Meg. Ultimate Compound.

Best CUTTING so far: Meg M105 but it's very hard to use as work time is not long at all, dusting is bad, but it cuts quickly and hard. It's just no fun using detail spray to help remove it because it has set up already. SKIP IT

EASE OF USE: Meguiars Ultimate Compound. What, an "8" for cutting ability ? Not bad. Long work time, minimal dusting, if any, looks really nice. However I usually have to polish afterwards.

BEST TIME SAVER: Wolfgang Uber. Very expensive, and it usually takes 6 passes at least, BUT for the vehicles I've used it on so far I could skip the polish and go straight to wax/sealant. It's THAT GOOD, imho.

"OTHER": just got a bottle of Meg. M101 and wouldn't be surprised if that becomes my goto compound from what I've read.

Also will be trying Menzerna FG400 soon. I imagine that's probably one you should consider seriously.

Hope this gave you a little info.

S3 Gold XXL is a superb compound. I have found it to work really well on VW/Audi hard paints where it edged FG400 in cut and gloss and dusted less.

I would expect it to dust less since the Gold was specifically formulated for a long working time. Can you give us more detail on on cut and finish? What do you follow it with?

Cut is really good, not M101 good but a hair above FG400 along with gloss. Depending on paint hardness, machine and pad used you can one step with S3. I have followed it up with S30+ on a softer pad like an LC White but didn't see a big enough difference to warrant a second step.

Fast correcting cream, finishes nice, cuts great, no dusting, long work time, and finishes better then fg400 on a mf cutting pad.

This and the griots microfiber fast cutting pad is my go to for heavy defect removal

Not sure where all the excitement went about Megs M101 Foam Cut Compound, but I get great results, and have yet to use anything like it. I'll usually follow up with M205, but more out of tradition than need.

Did a lot of product testing yesterday and have yet to find a compound that's better than Griots BOSS Fast Correcting Cream. Love this stuff! Doesn't dry out(even in full sun), cuts great, finishes great, and doesn't dust!!!! For medium cut, Griots BOSS Correcting Cream has the same attributes. I like it better than HD Adapt(still good product).

Yep not too mention that correcting cream is probably the best one step polishes on the market.

Seriously under rated polishes, i dare anyone to use them and not love them

Seriously under rated polishes

Joe, you got that right. While FG400 is my go-to, I've tried every product mentioned in this thread except the Scholl's, and I own most of them, the FCC and CC is amazing stuff. Griot's is really stepping up their game

All of you FG400 users...

I'm surprised more of you haven't experimented using these on paint...

3M Marine Compound & Finishing Material - 06044

Meguiars M67 One Step Marine Compound

Yeah...yeah...I know they're promoted as being marine products...even specifically made for marine use. I was indeed refering to all you guys that like to experiment. M67 has gotten me out of more than one pinch on hard black paint. Worked well enough that I couldn't see needing to buy FG400 or even M101. I'm not saying it's better than FG400. I'm saying that M67 worked on black when my other heavy hitters didn't. I had it on hand, and it kept me from having to buy another product...that was even higher in price to boot.

M105 is still the beast (perhaps because I refuse to buy more products like M101), but M105 is more often than not a pain to work with. Cuts hard and fast...and dries just as fast or faster. M67 has longer working time, obviously.

I won't buy Menzerna, just because...

I only keep Meguiar's on hand just because...(for a few more reasons than most places have it in a pinch)...

Just because...I'm open to something that cuts like M100/M101/M105...but something that is NOT a pain in my backside to work with and while NOT having to mop the dang floor after I'm done. You could bake a cake with all the dust from Meguiar's, but it will cut like a beast...and can be a beast to get off too. LOL!

Been gone for a bit.

What's this FCC stuff y'all are talking about. Sounds like some sort of gov't product. LOL!

Mark,
You're always changing. Don't know if it's because you can, or because you're never satisfied, or you just like to have the latest and greatest. Any of which, there's nothing wrong with. Sounds like you're still on the Scholl's kick and liking it.

LOL, hi Bill!! Where have you been?

I do like Scholl polishes. However, they're too expensive. Griots BOSS Creams are my favorite.

Been hearing a lot of good things about the Griot's Creams...just hard to decipher who's gettin' paid and who's gettin' free products...if you know what I mean. LOL!

Been real busy...just life stuff...end of life stuff with family. I peak in from time to time, but haven't taken too much time to log-in lately.

Hey brother...I'm glad you can...change products, cars, and your usernames as often as you can. It's all good. Yep, I'm glad you can. That's a blessing my friend. Yep, a real blessing.

FCC stands for fast correcting cream.

And is pretty much the opposite of 100/105/101.

It cuts excellent, smells excellent, works forever (that means you use less polish) doesnt dust, and wipes off like a dream. Oh and no dusting 😃

And no i do not get paid by griots or get free stuff from them.

Im a detailer, and strive for perfection with easy results.

Even if black magic gave me all there stuff for free, i would only use the best.

Order a bottle of fast correcting cream, and i dare you not to like it.

When i use 105 for headlight restorations, it always reminds me why i stopped using it in the first place.

The longer you wait for fast cream, the more youll feel left out cause you didnt try it soon enough.

Order asap
