Best Bang For Buck

For me, ONR and D156.

Optimum No Rinse and Shine as a rinseless is very inexpensive, 256:1 dilution ratio
I also use it as a paint prep, I mix 1 ounce per quart with 25% alcohol. So about 1/8th the cost of Car Pro eraser.
Use it as a quick interior detailer mixed at 1 ounce per quart as well (I think... I mixed a gallon last year so can't remember exact dilution)... in any case, super inexpensive.
This year I plan to use it as a glass cleaner, Yvan Lacroix has mentionned many times it does an amazing job on glass, so I need to try it ;) Only products I have ever liked on glass is Armor All Car Glass Cleaner and Bon Ami. Both are really expensive compared to pro products that can be diluted. But I don't like Meg's Glass Cleaner (other than the price).

Meguiar's D156 Express Quick Spray Wax is great as a drying aid, interior protectant for plastics and leather.

Oh and Meguiar's Hyper Dressing is also an amazing deal, especially if you dilute it 4:1! But I prefer a dedicated solvent based dressing for tires and trims (like Meg's All Season Dressing) and on the interior I prefer to use D156... so the only place left I can use that product is in the engine bay.

Do you think Meg’s all season dressing is sort of like Meg’s endurance gel on the retail end?

I never tried Endurance Gel, so I can't compare the two products.

All-Season dressing is a liquid, not a gel. It comes in 1 gallon size (maybe other too, not sure) and is not dilutable since it's a solvent based dressing.

I just started using it this winter so I have not done that many cars with it, maybe 10 cars total.

It's easy to apply and it gives a nice look to the tires and the trims.

From what other detailers have said, it's not supposed to sling. I will know when I try it on my own car.

It's a good value when you compare it to Armor All, especially if it really doesn't sling like Armor All does.

Water based dressings are more economical when diluted, but they don't last. So for customer's cars, they
will cost you less. For your own car I think it's probably even.

Virtually anything with the Duragloss name on the label is a great value.

I just bought their Duragloss 253 dressing and will be giving it a try.

great product. their car wash and rinseless wash w/aquawax are both fantastic as well...

As a Zaino tire shine user, I'm looking forward to trying the 253 as I've heard it's very similar to Zaino Z16.

Meg's Hyperwash
Daytona Speedmaster Pro wheel brush- 8 years and still going
IUDJ- Never ceases to impress me. It's my most reached for product.
Meguiar's DUB, Ultimate wheel cleaner. They don't beat out more expensive brands but they come damn close for a lot less money. I'll put a little more elbow work to save the cash. They do a good job as paint decon and they killed the rust around our kitchen sink drain before caulking.

Thanks for the reply. I’m excited to try out hyper wash. It will be here soon. I can’t find any of the DUB wheel cleaner locally. I have always wanted to try to this for wheels and a test spot for paint decontamination.

Does anyone who uses hyperwash get water spots with hard water? I love it for how cheap it is but I had to switch due to the cars always getting water spots after rinsing off

If it was me I wouldn’t even bother using it on wheels and instead use it strictly for paint. It’s too scarce to to waste it on wheels when there’s endless wheel cleaners that can get a wheel clean. [whether they change colors or not]

Megs Wheel Brightener doesn’t change colors, but that doesn’t stop it from doing just as good a job at removing iron contaminants from the wheels.

I personally haven’t experienced this issue with it, *knock on wood* But it’s not the 1st time I’ve heard someone say that.. They say 3D Pink is comparable minus the water spotting issue.

I’ve used 3D Pink and it’s a good soap but IME it sometimes diminishes beading faster than I expected from a wash that claims it doesn’t.. Great cleaning soap with extraordinary suds.

I think that Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer is great bang for the buck. And it's cause the longevity of it is awesome. You get easly 6-8 weeks on bare paint and a water beading and sheeting is on par with a ceramic coating. When used after drying and apply it strechtes long. A couple of sprays in the mf towel on big panels and 1 spray on regualar size panels. I use it in another bottle it's those fine mist spray bottles that hair saloons uses. The original bottle even if they have released a better one than the first version is not good to spray directly to the paint. Cause it's spitting out the BSD lol. And for some reason it looks awesome on white paints. Even if I have not used it myself I think Sonax Polymer Net Shield would be a great bang for the buck too and as a base to BSD would be an awesome combo.

The sad thing is that Meguiars products is very pricey in Sweden. You can double the cost but often tripple the price on their products here. So for best bang for the buck will be a domestic detailing company own products that I buy in bulk. And the quality of them is great and has almost a complete line of products. If I where to order from AGO it would be products I can not get here in Sweden. The shipping charges and taxes and the customs cost is very high and based on weight and price of the products. I will be ordering from here and when I do so products from McKees 37 and Griots Garage and Lake Country and 3D has products that is intresting to try out. Especially N-914 is a no brainer and GG PFM and 3D Speed.

Eldorado2k, Good to know because I have wheel brightener too. I haven’t used it much. I’m anxious to try it out more when the weather warms up.

Curious to know what influence warmer weather could have on you using the Wheel Brightener?

I won't speak for him, but probably the opportunity to try it out. Around here, it's been in the 40's and raining for weeks. Some areas of the country are colder and snowy. Not exactly prime detailing weather.
