What is your opinion on the best standard car wash soap?
 
Dont know about being the best, but I'm very pleased with Megs gold class.

1) Ultima, amazing lube and very little needed, plus Corey loves it!
2) Pinnacle, loads of lubricity
3) Optimum, $29 a gallon makes this the best value
4) CG Citrus Gloss, cuts wax and makes short work of wheels
5) ONR, I know its not a car wash. Itts sooo much more so maybe it should be #1
 
My favorite is Majestic Solutions Ultra Gloss, followed by Duragloss.
 
best lubricity for the price and quality megs gold class. plus its available locally if you get some heavy load.
 
I've been trying out many shampoos lately, so far I like OPT the best. I'm really impressed, lubricity, suds, cleaning ability were all excellent not to mention a great scent.

I think it might be helpful for you to know what else I have tried.

Here is what I have used so far...

CG Citrus Wash
CG Citrus Wash Clear
CG Citrus Wash + Gloss
CG Glossworkz
DG Carwash Concentrate 901
1Z Perls
Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo
OPT Car Wash
DP Xtreme Foam
 
I like Megs Gold Class as well.

I have used these car wash soaps:

Megs Gold Class
Megs NXT
Megs Deep Crystal Car Wash
Pinnacle XMT Gel Shampoo
Optimum No Rinse (old formula)
Turtle Wax ICE
 
Poorboys, Optimum, Griots, and Duragloss offer nice soaps. I prefer Pinnacle on carnauba's specifically.

how did you quess? im sure people probably think i work for a/g i mention pinnacle so much. but i dont .just love there line..

You got it buddy!!! I love Ultima Paint Guard Wash for the resons you stated! Also it makes Skybaby's UPGP smile. :)

For best price on a quality soap I will say Megs. Gold Class

For best smell I will go with Wolfgang Auto Bath
