Best Carpet Shampoo

In the past what i have done to clearn my carpets is i went to kragen aka O riley and purchased some carpet cleaner, pulled my floor mats out of the car, sprayed the cleaner, used a scrubber brush, then rinsed them out real good with water from the hose and continued to scrub them til all the dirt and debris appeared to be gone. Then i used my shop vac to suck up any water left and laded them out to dry in the sun. They turned out great!

From what i have been reading and seeing looks like some of u are just talking about only shampooing the floor mats and scrubbing them and making them look better, correct?

just my 2 cents...

i just looked up the megs APC+ and its out of stock and has a lot of good reviews. looks like im going to have to pick some of that up when it comes back in stock!
what abouts Megs APC, not the plus, what is the differences between the 2?

We will cover Hot Water Extaction. Which is basically what you are doing. When I clean something with my truckmount it gets basically pressure washed and extracted right away. Your way is doing the same with what you got which works.

takes two

If I were to come out and recommend a few products without basic knowledge you could easily turn carpet and upholstery pink and cause other problems. Do you really want to F-UP someones car?

Professional carpet/upholstery cleaning products are for professional that know what they are doing. So you need to have patience and I'll write up a guide with recommendations. But it is gonna take me several hours or more to do. So it not gonna happen right now. So for now I recommend that you use 303 products. They are really great John.

It is equivalent to recommending a rotary polisher with a heavy compound to someone who doesn't know anything about polishing and telling them good luck.

Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I have a guide with recommendations. It is gonna take me several hours to do and I also am working full time.

i just tested out using my carpet brushes on my PC. I used Duragloss Fabric & Carpet Cleaner #451 . i used it on some pretty stained seats in a PT cruiser. the product foams up nicely. after settling, i used the PC with the carpet brush and it worked like a charm! i wish i took pictures.

#451 only comes in a 19oz aerosol can for $8.99. but it works great! and doesnt smell too bad either.

im becoming more and more of a Duragloss product fan! check them out.

Take your time I work 12 rotating shifts and on call on my days off also house/yard work so I know how it's hard to do projects thats not really a priority takes time that's why I think I haven't started detailing for side money yet not enough time. Any kind of recommendations and guidance especially from a pro that can make my detailing skills better is greatly appreciated. After all everybody that's what this forum is all about.
