Best & Cheapest Air Freshener

has anyone tried this yet? I really like it and have barely made a dent in the container of Unstoppables.

Smells great, super cheap.

I'm going to try it. Props to you, Boston, for being innovative.

I'll report back as to how my clients like/dislike it.

I just checked out the "Gallery II" on your website DaVinci. Nice work.

Definitely hit me up about the air freshener. The great thing is that you can make it stronger/less strong based on how many of those pellets you put in.

Thanks Mike great idea. I'll have the old lady grab some.

I was very anxious to try this new formula. I bought a container of Downey unstoppables and mixed half the beads,,yes HALF into a spray bottle of warm water and shaked it up and let it stand overnight.
The following week i sprayed alot under all my customers seats as i detailed the cars in my garage. The scent had disappeared or possibly dissipated entirely from the car and no noticeable scent was left.
It may of left some scent on the carpets themselves where i sprayed but did not add any scent at all to the cars. I was really hoping this would work and possibly save me some money

It doesn't last more than 24 hours in my experience. Still cheap air freshner.

yeah...i'm only getting about 24 hours in my car but that's what I get out of febreez and the DP aerosol cans as well.

On the bright side, you can use the other half for your laundry.

If you read my previous post in this thread, I added half a bottle of the downey beads in an attempt to make a stronger scent with warm water.

After trying the home made brew on my own cars carpets to try and freshen up the car scents, the following day i had a horrible white residue dried into my carpets. I had to scrub them clean with a stiffer brush as the residue was a dried milkey substance left from the downey beads. Obviously I added way too many beads and Im hoping my customers whos cars i applied this home brew are not cursing me out after seeing the dried residue after i sprayed their cars after detailing.

If you want a good cleaner. Mr. Clean with Gain smells amazing and cleans carpets really well.

Another reason to always test products fully before using them on customer's vehicles.

I always test products on my personal vehicles before any of them touch a customer's car. Whether it be a wax, air freshner, dressing, window cleaner, etc a full test is done first. Not only so I know how it reacts but to see if there are any side effects.

Interesting about the dried up beads. I used less but my black carpets didn't have any residue.

Your right...I should of done that....Live and learn

I've been using a mix of water and liquid fabric softener. At my school, home, car etc.

I may try those unstoppables :-)

They smell great but they don't stick around. Lasts just as long as every other thing I've used...maybe a little shorter. Best smelling though.

Im using this idea for an air freshener around the home and room. Not so much on vehicles though because I don't offer interior detailing services lol. Thanks for the idea, I picked up a small bottle of Fresh to try it out. Half for the house, the other half for laundry!

3 weeks after wife use the "berry" Dakota odor bomb, the scent is still quite notable. Even pulled out the umbrella left in back of truck and it also smelled like berries during our rain this week.
