Best Hands Down Trim Restorer Hands Down ?????

Another vote for UTTG, goes on easily and doesn't require any buffing to even it out after application. I've had it on my car for at least a month so far and it's like day 1. Cheap too, the initial cost may seem high but you use so little to do the trim and it lasts so long that it works out far cheaper than using, say 303 Aerospace (what I used to use).

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so please excuse any grammatical errors

Don't get UTTG on your hands, unless you have some pumicized hand cleaner with you you won't be able to pick anything up for the rest of the day. I got some on my hands the other day and it is slicker than anything that I had ever felt. I had to stop, go in the house and wash it off with GoJo Orange before I could finish the job. Looks good on the trim and lasted through a trip to Jersey in the pouring rain. I just got mine last week so we'll see about durability.

Does anyone know the durability of Poorboys trim restorer on trim? Been wondering how well it holds up with time...

That's gross, but thanx for the info man lol!

Really appreciate this info - unless someone completely tosses a better product in this discussion..... pretty sure I'll go with UTTG. Then again, do either of you happen to work for Ultima?!?!?!? You know if I ask it is illegal to say no if you work for them right lol?!?!?!?

Thanx guys!

I agree and it is NOT an matter of opinion. ULTIMA Trim and Tire Guard oulasts any product that cost less than 58$ per ounce. You get 12 oz for between 20-30 dollars if I remember right. Even if you paid 35-45$ for UTTG it is still one of the cheapest because of the amount you need and how long it lasts.

Anybody that has used UTTG knows this. I used ARO, GRC, and other things to remove UTTG from my bumper and it didn't touch it. If I wasnt at work I'd pull some links to different testing. I cant believe you havent seen a couple of those tests... hands down UTTG hands down

Btw: from awhile back... (from this thread) http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/31365-ultima-sealants-mythbuster.html
I was washing my cars today and also had the camera available as I was washing 2 of the cars with PB SS&S to do a review for Shane. While I was doing it I noticed something I had to videotape for you guys. Remember that UTTG in the middle of the other 2 sealants that I placed on my hood? While its not the right product for the paint it sure does hate water!

Heres the video:

PS: A couple months later that UTTG hasn't been touched. I'll share a picture later

Thanx guys for your opinions - and Thanx CeeDog for the links. Looks like I have to go with UTTG then lol!

Does UTTG restore the color to faded trim as well? Poor boys does a great job of restoring the color but even after buffing dry it runs in the rain and I hate that.

Well it looks like it restores color somewhat. Have you tried using it over any ogre product? Can that be done? Is it even necessary I wonder?

That seems to be UTTG's only downfall, if you want to call it that. If UTTG really darkened faded trim, it would be the best thing since sliced bread.

Corey, you rock man. Thanks.

Z, it looks like that is the only weak point. I am gonna give it a try on my next order.

i have tried quite a few. including black wow. (was not all that impressed). i like stoners trim shine & megs trim detailer.

You might want to try UTTG...

Another vote for UTTG! It just keeps on keeping on! If your trim is well maintained, UTTG is the way to go.

Let me clarify, UTTG isn't quite as dark as some other trim restorers, but what food are the other trim restorers if you trim looks faded again in 2 weeks? UTTG will still make faded trim look good and your trim will look good for way more than 2 weeks!
