I might be showing my age, but I'm surprised noone has mentioned Mothers Paste Wax. I started using it in the early 70's and that was the only wax I used for many years either in the pure wax form or the cleaner wax form. I still have a can of each and used the cleaner wax about 2 years ago on my daughter's lil BMW wagon just to show her that you don't have to invest in a garage full of products or an entire weekend to keep it looking good.
I'm the first to admit that there are plenty of waxes now that might look better, or deeper, or wetter, or last longer or that don't stain trim as bad, but when you need a good decent wax at a decent price at your local auto parts store, it's still hard to beat.
