Best of the best cheap LSPs?

I might be showing my age, but I'm surprised noone has mentioned Mothers Paste Wax. I started using it in the early 70's and that was the only wax I used for many years either in the pure wax form or the cleaner wax form. I still have a can of each and used the cleaner wax about 2 years ago on my daughter's lil BMW wagon just to show her that you don't have to invest in a garage full of products or an entire weekend to keep it looking good.

I'm the first to admit that there are plenty of waxes now that might look better, or deeper, or wetter, or last longer or that don't stain trim as bad, but when you need a good decent wax at a decent price at your local auto parts store, it's still hard to beat.

I had a question about your "other" credit card. How can I pull that off if my wife handles all the bill paying??? eeek... sure I can get a new card only in my name, but when it comes time to pay it off monthly, I'm still screwed.... :(

Find a card that lets you opt out of paper billing. They send the bill to your email, you pay online......but I have only heard about this :props:

Point taken, and I agree. I misunderstood that "cheap" is sometimes relative. So yes, if folks are looking for good sealants under 30 bucks, then the above products you mentioned are indeed "good and cheap" sealants.

HEHE..... you know what, I might post a thread out there to see how many of us guys actually "hide" some (or all) of our detailing purchases from our wives. It's like an addiction... :) I probably wouldn't be surprised to find out that there are a LOT of us out there.

You just mark online statements only to your own email address. I put away cash to a separate free checking account :p This is also nice for me as I prefer to keep all my detailing purchases separate.

LOL... so if I understand this right, I'll need a "secret" credit card, checking account, and cash.... :) all of which would be pretty hard to pull off as my wife does all the finances. Oh well, I'll just have to clean the house more often so she'll let me buy stuff!!! hehe

Durability - Klasse Sealant Glaze. Hands down the longest lasting sealant I have used. Looks pretty good on most vehicle also.

Cheap & Durable - Duragloss #105. For just under $10, #105 last almost as long as Klasse SG and, in my opinion, it gives more of a glow to the finish than does KSG and is much easier to apply and remove. My favorite sealant.

Looks Paste - Poorboy's Natty's Blue. You can't beat the depth and shine NB provides with any other carnuba for under $30.

Looks - Duragloss #951 (Aqua Wax) - Nothing beats the depth and shine AW provides for under $30. In fact, I would put AW up against products much higher priced any day.

I think the suggestion of washing the wife's car more often may be easier to pull off.

Direct deposit $15 a check (or whatever amount you think your wife won't notice is missing) into a secret banking account. Then just use that account for your AG purchases.

This is so wrong!

A 6 month old base of Adam's Machine SuperWax (sealant) (still beaded)
PB blackhole glaze
DP Max Wax

I have been looking to pick up a true WOWO carnauba that is very easy to apply and remove. I don't know if I am getting lazy or out of shape, but I am tired of removing Meguiar's M26 and M16. I try to apply very thin layers. Ease of application and removal has climbed my priority chart. :)

I just received the UPGP (4oz) from Autogeek and I want to top that with a carnauba. I can't afford the Fuzion or Souveran so that's why I am looking at the DP MaxWax.

How does it compare to Souveran and Fuzion in regard to ease of application and removal as well as looks?

Also, how does it compare to Meguiar's M26 in the looks department? I am a fan of M26.

My car is an 06 VW GLI in Platinum Grey.

Im the MAN

Yep. Im hooked on Megs26 HiTech Yellow until something else comes along. I really want to try the Souveran paste, but.........not for a C-note. So,using my PB NAttys Blue and topping it with Megs26 HiTec Yellow.... I'm hooked. The DP MAx sounds tempting. I washed the car last weekend for the first time in approx 4months and it created huge beads of water as it rolled off. ;)
