Best of the best cheap LSPs?

Once you apply Max Wax, you will realize that the only thing cheap about it is the price.

It's an awesome LSP on any color.

We should stop praising it so much. Meghan will up the price soon. :)

Thanks, I am so close to placing an order...

They just started distributing Finish Kare so get some Pink wax.It smells like hell but it has been going strong for three months on my daily driver and it looks very wet but still has that nuba glow.

What did you use for a base for the Pink Wax if you did.

Megs #26 paste wax was always a favorite of mine.

I have used Optimum OS topped with S100. The OOS for $24 is a great deal and couldn't be easier to apply. The S100 gives a very glossy finish. However, my new favorite is Natty's Red. This stuff is awsome! Red over OSS is a killer combo.

Mothers Reflections , underated . Collinite , great inexpensive wax .

Collinite 915. Best durability, best looking, easy application. Can't beat it for $30!

I've got some Max Wax sitting here that I'm going to try and see how it compares to some higher priced ones. I've heard good things about it!

if you can come up with a little more flow then id go for pinnacle sig series 2 paste wax. its fantastic . and up there with high end waxes as far as shine

Meguiars M20 Polymer sealant especially if preped with #9 polish

Blackfire Wet Diamond ($19.99 in Canada) is a steal. Best slickness I've ever felt. Easy on, easy off, non-staining.

Insulator Wax 845 - Amazing (not 476s - hate the stuff).

NXT 2.0 - Still one of my favorites.

From your list I have only used Natty Blue & DP, DP gets the node from me. It looks killer on my wifes fusion on really makes the flakes pop more then anything else I've used (including SSII).

I have some other high end waxes but not everyone wants to pay for them so I'm going to try some lower priced ones.

I have used the Natty's Red and Collinite on my TiAg BMW. I really like Natty's for it's ease of use, brilliant shine on silver and I kinda like the smell too. Durability is so-so, but since it is so easy to put on I don't mind as much.

Collinite is super durable, just don't get as much pop with it here in South Florida. But it does stand up to our daily rain showers.

DP seems to be getting some favorable reviews here, maybe it's time to hide an order from the wife.

Use the DP on the Wife's car and there will be no need to hide it. MaxWax, it just boggles me how it is not more well known.

THIS IS HILARIOUS!!! I thought I was the only one hiding orders from my wife!!! HAHA... it's so nice to be amongst similar "auto geeks". We have the same tactics. I, too, might have to try DP max wax. People really like it eh? Granted, it's cheaper than Souveran, but price aside, how does Max Wax compare to Souveran in terms of application, durability, and "wet look"?

As for my vote, I'm surprised no one's said anything about Four Star UPP... even you, Killrwheels... :) My vote for the cheap LSP's is UPP. 30 bucks, can't beat that.

Among synthetic sealants, 4* UPP would not be considered inexpensive, relatively speaking. About the only thing one can say is that it's less expensive than Wolfgang DGPS.

"Cheap" sealants would include: DuraGloss 105 ($11) and 111 ($9), Finish Kare 1000p ($14), Megs M21 ($18) and M20 ($23). Any thing more expensive than $23 becomes, in my book, an expensive sealant.

105 is an amazing product as well. There really are some damn good products for pennies out there.

I too hide products. I have a credit card that is just used for detailing products that I keep hidden on the premises :p

Point taken, and I agree. I misunderstood that "cheap" is sometimes relative. So yes, if folks are looking for good sealants under 30 bucks, then the above products you mentioned are indeed "good and cheap" sealants.

HEHE..... you know what, I might post a thread out there to see how many of us guys actually "hide" some (or all) of our detailing purchases from our wives. It's like an addiction... :) I probably wouldn't be surprised to find out that there are a LOT of us out there.

I had a question about your "other" credit card. How can I pull that off if my wife handles all the bill paying??? eeek... sure I can get a new card only in my name, but when it comes time to pay it off monthly, I'm still screwed.... :(
