I have cleaned cars for years , for myself. I just recently had a few people ask about detailing their interiors ?? I know , I never thought that would be what people wanted done. Anyway , I am looking for the best value and performance in chemicals. I will not use anything on anyones vehicle that I wouldnt use on my own , so it must pass my tests first..I currently use a pricey company that would not be of economical value to use on "customers" cars ( customers to me would be friends and family ) so whats your recommendations ? I thought about Griots , I have never used Griots products at all though..

Leather =LeatherMasters
Protectant = 303 Protectant

I like OPC for interior cleaning. While a bit more expensive then other APC, I find it to clean everything I ask of it and it is safe on leather and most other surfaces it comes in contact with. So it is tops in performance mixed at 3:1 and still relatively cheap IMO!

I have tried it on a stain once and it worked great for me. I normally do not use an APC on carpets as I have other methods but wouldn't hesitate using it for that reason. I does work great on lover panels for me also for tar and such. Just remember to reapply a LSP after using OPC on paint!:props:

The best value/performance for me is DP interior cleaner and the had the 128oz on BOGO (By one Get one free). I am sold on that product, I have yet to try the new improved formula, but the old stuff works very well on leather/dashes of all textures/ and carpet. If you're gonna use it on a extractor, use about a 4-5oz per gallon, because of it's foaming.

Well, i use Meguiars APC+ on carpets and leather(doesn't foam like APC) and also use Folex on carpets. I will also use Meguiars D180 Leather/Vinyl cleaner and conditioner on lightly soiled leather and most of the vinyl in the interior. That will cover you for 95% of the interiors that you will do, and it will do them all cheaply and effectively.

Is Megs APC+ safe on paint? What about OPC?

Just curious.:dunno:

You get really mixed reviews when someone ask if APC+ is safe on paint. At full strength I would say no, 4:1 no, 7:1 maybe, 10:1....

Was reading threads on Meg's Online about APC+ on paint and like I said at the start mix reviews. Some people at 7:1 said their car was fine, others said it left drip marks that they had to repolish to get out.

OPC on the other hand I hear is pretty much safe on pretty much everything at 3:1 and seems to be just as strong as APC+.

Meg's recommends using a very week ratio with APC+ on paint...like 64:1. OPC can be used safely UN-DILUTED on paint. :dblthumb2: Most will use OPC 3:1 for it to be more cost effective, and it still works great!

Sweet. Not sure how much application it really has for paint though. =P

OPC is too expensive for my blood. For now at least. Just ordered some APC+ though.

My cabinet is full of DP and Poorboys. Zep Citrus from Home Depot is my current APC. Will be trying Megs APC+ when I run out.

Like you, if I wouldn't use it on my truck, I won't use it on your car. (great marketing tag line, BTW).
