Best Wash Mitt

I find myself using a thick ultra soft MF towel more and more over a mitt, but liked the chenille mitts. The smaller Dodo mitt is quite nice too !!

I got 2 sheepskin mitts on 2 seperate occasions and they both fell apart in the first month of use. about 4 washes.

I switched to the Schmitt from sheepskins earlier this year. I got fed up with the sheepskins snagging on trim and such, leaving little fibers on the car. I absolutely love the Schmitt. It rinses easier/better in the rinse bucket as well!

I use the Wookie Fist for the upper portion of the car and I have a Megs wool mitt for the bottom parts. I love the Wookie Fist. The size, the weight, its just one of those things where you know its right when you use it.

Sheepskin is by far my favorite.

I've been using the Blue Chenille Wash Mitts .

I was looking into getting a "Sheepskin" wash mitt. I wanted to know, how it did with a GritGaurd (releasing dirt/grit) cleaning wise ?

Thanks

They work fine with a grit guard. Two bucket wash with dual grit guards and you can hit them with the hose for an added rinse along the way. My mitts look as good as new. I machine wash and line dry them with a bottomless plastic cup inserted in the cuff to ensure the air gets to the inside of the mitt.

I want to try to shmitt but i feel like dirt accumulated has nowhere to go because its all foam...no fibers... then again it will clean alot better...if more than a few people can vouch for the shmitt you just made autogeek an $11 sale

I've been using the Lake Country Foam Car Wash Sponge (blue cube). It holds a ton of soapy water, doesn't scratch or mar the paint, and is $4.99 through Autogeek right now. The only downfall is that it takes forever to rinse all of the soap out of it.

I use Sheep Skin mitts as well, I have not had any problems with them thus far (3/4 years). I get my mitts from west coast detailing supply, good prices and they last at least a year for me. I do let them air dry after each use, being real sheep skin if they stay wet they begin to rot.

I hate to say this but the sheepskin mitts that AG sells suxs. I had one and it fell apart the first time I used it. It isn't even the same one they show in the picture Sheepskin Wash Mitt I have one from Meijer that has lasted me a long time. The Cobra Micro-Chenille is also junk. I got 2 on BOGO a while back and both took a crap after the first use.

I absolutely LOVE my schmitt. I've had the yellow & white one now for about 6 months, and it's easily the best wash mitt I've used. Has done a great job minimizing any swirls on my car.

Highly recommended.

And you dont have to put it on and take it off. I prefer sponges to mitts. The LCC is great. I also like Chanille sponges for grills, etc.

Can you recommend a sponge for me. I have the natural sea sponge but i dont like the feel of it. i like something that gets more of an even coverage.

when you do another order, pick up one of the mothers lambswool mitt. when you do, in the comment field (or ask dwayne, meghan, matt, etc, over the phone) ask them to pick the plushest one they have since they are not all created equal. i'm sure they'll do their best...

I was finally able to use my Yellow and White schmitt and it did a pretty good job. Although I did find that it did not foam as much as my MF mitt did.
