Best Wash Mitt

Mothers lambswool wash mitt for me. I've had my fair share of lambswool mitts and this is one of the best i've used.
I also have the schmit and well it's a nice mitt, it's already starting to fall apart where it's glued after about 3 months of weekly washes.

I hate to say this but the sheepskin mitts that AG sells suxs. I had one and it fell apart the first time I used it. It isn't even the same one they show in the picture Sheepskin Wash Mitt I have one from Meijer that has lasted me a long time. The Cobra Micro-Chenille is also junk. I got 2 on BOGO a while back and both took a crap after the first use.

I don't remember seeing any sheepskin mitts when I was at Meijer the other day, but I'll have to look again. The one by me has a pretty weak selection of car products, however. They do carry the green 3M tape, but that's about all I've got from there.

The lining inside my blue Cobra mitt is falling apart after about 8-10 washes, and I notice little blue pieces coming off in my buckets. It might last another couple washes, then I'll probably have to toss it.

I think it was last year that I got the wash mitt from meijer.

Looks like mothers lambswool mitt is in the lead right now....

it's a good quality mitt and i'm currently using one right now. the only thing i did was cutt off the cuff very carefully with cuticle scissors...

any reason why you cut off the cuff?

I am currently using a DI sheepskin mitt but does anybody have any experiences with the Adams wash pad? The washing mitt/pad they use has always caught my eye. It a big 9x9 foam cored synthetic wool wash mitt that would be as gentle as any other wool pad but with the foam core would hold a ton of washing solution.

I know buff and shine also makes a similar product.

I like lambs wool most because I can control pressure and conforms to surace better plus rinses easily.

Adam's has (2) sizes Wash 9"x9" and 11"x11".They are both pads. They suds like crazy. They both work well.I have them both.
I just ordered the "Black Wheel and White/Yellow ShMITT" combo today.I'll see how them 2 work?

Can you recommend a sponge for me. I have the natural sea sponge but i dont like the feel of it. i like something that gets more of an even coverage.
I like the LC Garage Sponge and Big Lots has Armor All Chanille for $4. The Cobra Bone is a nice Microfiber sponge. Grout sponges are great for lower panels, wheels & wells. You can get a 6 pck for ~ $10. Hope this helpss.

The black mitt is terrific on wheels & wells! White is very good too IMO!

I'm using the DI sheepskin mitt as well. Not bad, but not great either. What do you think of it?

I works out fine for me. I see no marring on my paint but I am always on a look out for something better. The Adams mitt and the Raceglaze wash mitt(because of the colors) from a certain Canadian vendor have caught my eye.

One thing I didn't like with the DI sheepskin mitt is there was pieces of wheat/grain embedded into the sheep's skin so I had to go over the mitt carefully and pull them all out. I didn't really like the cuffs either but all sheepskins wash mitts have cuffs on them so I can't really complain.

Funny, I definitely had the exact same issue with the wheat/grain (that's exactly what it looked like but I wasn't sure). Not very confidence inspiring!

Just a heads up peep's:
Adam's wash product's (9"x9" & 11"x11") are Pad's NOT Mitt's. :)

i tried the schmitt for the first time last night. i put it away after the first pass. not because i don't think its great, but only because i was doing a rinseless wash and i've made a decision to only use foam mitts with regular washes where its full of soap and suds and microfiber for rinseless washes. for rinsless wash the foam soaks up the water so the foam is the first thing to touch the paint whereas the regular wash the suds are already on the paint and foam making that barrier. i may just be paranoid. anyone here use foam mitts for rinseless with no problems?
