Believe me I'm neurotic enough to take the wheels off the car to wash them. I have tried darn near every type of wheel wax, synthetic sealant, wheel protectant that you can imagine. This is the only thing I found that works in a manner that is very differnt. That mud video was interesting. I might give this stuff try sometime.
I drive a 2009 335i, so I'm all too aware of the issues with BMW's and brake dust. For me, it's been a multi-step process, but I'm able to keep mine very clean.
3. Lastly, as far as sealing, spend the money on either Opti-Coat or CQuartz. I've bought an used Wheel Wax, PB Wheel Sealant, Prima Wheel Armor, Collinite and plenty of other sealants. All work well, but I get too tired of having to reapply them. Three months ago I applied CQuartz, and I've never looked back. Just a quick hit from a pressure washer, and the brake dust is gone. It's expensive, but worth every single penny.
Did the CQuartz change the color (darken or lighten) the finish? The product description says that it contains nano fiberglass resulting in a reflective shine, which is different from the Optimum Opti-Coat as this says that it goes on clear. Also, can you apply CQuartz on top of Poorboy's Wheel Sealant? I have the PB wheel sealant on there now and would like to know if the CQuartz can bond on top of the PB so that I do not have to strip off the PB Wheel Sealant. I have silver clear coated wheels that I want to keep free of brake dust or only have to use soap and water to clean so this CQuartz looks like it might work pretty good so that I do not need to use a clear coat safe wheel cleaner such as P21S. Can the 10ml sample size cover all 4 wheels or do you need the larger size?
Something I found with Bimmers is if you use the pads from Cool Carbon (google them) you will see a dramatic dust reduction...

Do you have these on your car? After market ceramic brake pads on BMW's have been know to make noise (even after proper break -in) when rolling to a stop - so do they squeak at all?
