What wax do you use then?

When I do use wax...it's mostly these Waxes/Hybrid Waxes:
-Meguiar's #26
-3M ShowCar
-Pinnacle Signature Series II
-SON1C WAX's Carnaubavore Wax
-Optimum Car Wax

Chemical Guys Blacklight followed by Pete's 53 is a combo I have used often... but I am not one of those guys that focuses so much on this wax over that wax for looks....

I am sure it adds something, I am not denying it, but to my mind (so take it with a pinch of salt) it is not enough to fret over.

I think it is rather getting paint contaminant free and as smooth as possible (polishing) that produces the 'look'.

I have no way of quantifying the split, but in my head, it is 90-95% prep work and 5-10% LSP [BTW if anyone can quantify it, it would be great.... feed the OCD monster in my head ]

Actually there's a lot different besides the names, mainly looks, durability, consistency, application, etc....

Do you use the Midnight Sun QD or BF polymer Spray?

I use BF Polymer Spray after every wash as a final wipedown. I tried MS QD but found it to streak and caused MF linting. PS is streak free and a nice slick wipeoff with no linting.

I'm going to say meguiar's ultimate wax topped with M26.

interesting.. if paint is polished correctly it doesn't matter what you put on.

That was my first time to use it. I have only had it on a couple of weeks now. It is still beading well as of yesterday.
