bfwd vs four star paint sealant

+1. Ultimate Paint Protection, looks great and is about the easiest stuff you'll ever use. You will almost feel guilty...

I've been wondering this too. Which would you choose for my car in my avatar to give it a deep wet look? The color is "rotor glow" orange.

Yeah, that would look great with UPP. No sealant provides a wetter look than UPP. I mean BFWD is amazing as well. You really can't go wrong with either but UPP is my favorite. I go into more details about that in the review I posted a link to earlier. I like that you can layer UPP after 6 hours as well... NOT that I layer it very often but it's great to have that option for added durability.

Neither one is the highest durability sealant in the world but were talking looks and they still give you 2-3 months in the worst conditions (left outside 24/7 in Florida). More if garaged regularly.

Your rides a beauty btw! Congrats

Alright, thanks a lot. I will be getting some UPP on my next order!! I actually have a sample of bfwd that should be arriving today with my order. I might have to do a comparison review. :)

Both are nice choices, but you know I gotta suggest UPP too !!!

You can't go wrong with either it seems like. But I suggest Wet Diamond. :D

I just sealed my car after a complete correction starting with dampsanding and 3-4 more processes, finishing with BFWD. I've used it before, but forgot about the dusting on the old version. Looks slick as heck, but wondered for a 2nd coat would it be okay to top with UPP? I have a brand new bottle of it and haven't tried it yet...

Surely you don't mean UPP is the same as BFWD....you mean old and new BFWD is the same? I thought so as well, but read elsewhere that the dusting was improved. Well, I don't have any of the new anyway. What I'm asking about is UPP compatibility with BFWD.

What I mean is BFWD and UPP are enough the same to conlude that they are made in the same factory. Do you agree?

These two products are honestly too close to judge imho.

What are you guys topping Four Star UPP with??

That's cool, then I should be able to use both (back-to-back) on the same car without issues.

I don't plan on topping the UPP, other than occasional glaze before a car show. Just want to get the paint good and sealed.

I will also add Wolfgang sealant in the mix as being the same as BFWD and UPP.

Out of the three UPP BFWD and Wolfgang, I do enjoy UPP the most.
