Soooooo, will this machine be making a good substitution for the rotary? Will it get the job done as fast? Not bad if it's what has been said around the forums...

Dig all you want, you won't find any. This is a brand new machine and just recently went into mass production. The PC is a great machine but there is always room for more power. Bigfoot- this machine will work faster than the PC7424 & 7336 but I doubt faster than a rotary. It may bridge the gap closer between a DA and rotary though.

Could you damage the paint with it? I mean worse then if you used a PC all wrong.

Man....now I'm depressed. After much internal debate, I finally broke down and ordered a PC kit and some XMT yesterday. Now today I notice this thread! Should I cancel and wait? I'm fairly new to taking REAL good care of my car...I always tried to keep it nice but now I have become one of you...obsessed!

For a new-to-buffing guy...should I wait or will the PC be fine for me? What kills me is that no matter what I buy...from a car to a toaster, I research, research, research to make sure I know what I want and how much I should pay. I'm really upset with myself right now...

What to do....? Any advice either way???

Thanks,
Harold

I am told the machine is in NO-WAY related to the Griots offering. Which is a cheap chinese knockoff to begin with anyways. The vacuum is the only real interesting bit.

Don't sweat it punkey,
I am going through the same situation and the worst part for me is i can't even detail the car yet.
I have some detailing products lying around the house but every time i try to start something bad happens to the car (knock on wood x3).
I say stick with your choice for now, it will last for prob. a couple of years to come before you switch.

Can't wait to see how this new machine works out, knowing it is the first of its kind in production. There will always some kinks to work out before it becomes the new, lean, mean, polishing machine.

Now it is time to get back to my window shopping of detail supplies (i will be buying soon, choices... giving me a brain drain), Love you all @ autogeek and everyone on the board! :grouphug:
