Based on the reviews I read on here and Amazon, I decided to purchase the Bissell at Bed Bath Beyond. Used a 20% off coupon and got it for 80. Also bought the popular sport remover.

The suction on the unit is pretty subpar. I read it was descent but I thought it was very weak. The "hot" water wasnt very hot at all. Water out of the tap is much hotter.

The scrubbers on the wand thingy arent very stiff at all. You must use another brush (which I did).

I am not impressed with this unit. I feel some hot water, spot remover, and a shop vac perform much better than this unit.

I will be returning this tomorrow

If you want to do a GREAT job, then get a real extractor!!!!!!!

Thanks for the review! I have been kicking this around for some time now. You just saved me $80! Appreciate it!

i have it and like it. but havnt tried is on trashed carpets.. i pre treat the stains first then give a quick scrub then extract.. works nicely

I've had this vac for a few months and it works well enough in my opinion. I agree the suction isn't great but let's face it, you get what you pay for. Also, did you put cold water in the tank? It says to put hot tap water in. I've had steam come off the carpet when I use it....

Maybe your expectations were a little high for the price you paid? Just a thought...

its really a nice cleaner. just make sure u prep the area pretreat important.. :xyxthumbs:

I bought and returned a Bissell recently as well. I found that the small extraction head fit on one of my shopvac accessory's. I bought the attachment on eBay for about $8 including shipping.

As for the hot water, it just takes a few seconds for the hot water to get through the tubing... it gets hotter than I expected, but not worth $100 when I can put the extraction head on my shopvac for $8 and use my own brush.

I think the unit is awesome. There's much better cleaning solutions out there than the bissel sample. Pre-treating is a must, then extract. Works great for me.

i use the auto care pro heat and i like it. does a good job on carpet that isnt TRASHED.

I use the AUTO CARE PRO-HEAT. I don't know if there is a difference between that that the LGPH? When I hold the sprayer down and hold it to my hand, it gets pretty hot, so hot that I can't keep my hand in the stream. One thing I did notice is that it only stays hot for about 30 second clips. I use it to clean and scrub the carpet and use the shopvac to extract the excess water. One other good usage for it is to clean headliners, the milder suction won't pull it down. One day I will get a pro-extractor, need to make more money for that.

i have a AutoCare ProHeat with Pro Cleaner and it works fantastic. You need to push a little hard but honestly use a good spot cleaner on some spots, brush them to work them a bit and then vac it.

When all you do is dry vac and use spot cleaner on stains you arent removing dirt that is down in the carpet that you arent seeing. These little vacs get that all out (or most of it atleast)

Ive had great results and i found this thread by doing a search before i wrote a review for the AutoCare proHeat which IMO works great for what it is. I dont do enough interiors to justify a $600 vacuum. but for $100 and some cleaner i can get very good results.

I can see maybe trying a shop vac to remove the water but i think this thing does a pretty good job. you sometimes need to put a little pressure on it but i feel it is definitely a better method then just dry vac and spot remover.

here is my before and after.

I used that little extractor for months detailing, with good prep work it pulls out pretty nasty stuff, although the suction isnt great if you work slowly enough it will pull out the water you put down :)

Why are the letters in the first picture not black like they are in the second picture?

Why are the letters in the first picture not black like they are in the second picture?

Because of the fabric type and weave. One is ambient light so the light source is surrounding and weighted to behind the subject second picture is flash and the refraction of the light off the fabric makes it appear darker. plus its likely damp also making it appear darker.

the way yhe fabric is woven it is designed to appear as a dark symbol on the floor mats while sitting in the car or looking into the car. looking at it from the opposite direction yields some odd occurrences.

I think I'm gonna be picking up one of this once I make up my mind on cleaning my carpets and seats, and I have been doing some reading on them...

While doing my "homework" I found out that there seems as if they have upgraded them to 9amps? I was on their website and it says that the auto model (Black) and another that seems as if might be a new model both have 9amps...

So, has anyone tried one of this 9amps models?

TIA.

LOL.

I use the new model LGPH and have had great results with it and a good pretreatment. Is it a pro extractor, no. Does it work good for me, and are my customers happy, yes.
