Had a guy from a local car club drop this off the other day for some work. Didn't look too bad until I washed it and got a good look at it in the sun...

Washed with Dawn to strip off recent wax.
Wheels cleaned up easy with soap and water.
Polished with UDM, Orange and white CCS pads, Menzerna SIP and Menzerna 106fa

No wax yet, that will come on Sunday.

Now for some close ups to see the actual condition of the paint. The dust on the car along with the poor lighting last night was hiding much of the condition of the paint, now with a good wash the true condition shows through. Again, still not HORRIBLE, but does need a lot of work.

Great job ! :dblthumb2:
What products and pads ?
Thanks

Nicccee....Love the reflection shot of the polisher in the background.

By the way, what tires is he running? Interesting tread blocks on them.

Saw this on svtperformance.com. Are you using Zymol Royale as the wax?

And right there is the inevitable question ;)

A few months ago on a detailing forum, there was discussion about whether or not the crazy expensive waxes were really worth it or not, I was and still remain on the side of those waxes not really being worth the price. However, those that have used it or own it swore up and down that unless you have used it personally then you don't know for sure, said that if you have the money that it truly is worth it. I remained skeptical, and offered to make a drive during a trip I was on to see the stuff in person, which didn't work out, so while chatting with one person he offered to send me a small sample of Zymol Royale and Zymol Vintage to try for myself as long as I posted up an honest review. Now, have had a very busy summer with planning a wedding, engine swap, transmission rebuild, honeymoon, buying and selling a few cars etc... that this is the first car I have really had time to put any real work into so this is the car that I am going to use the Royale on.

I think it is quite funny on svtp forum that everyone compliments the pics and says what a great job I did then as soon as Colin mentions the Royale I am then all of the sudden a hack detailer that lied to him about a crazy miracle wax that costs $8,000 that I magically got a sample of from zymol and used that to sell my crappy work. I am not in the least bit a hack, a liar, shady, or anything like that. I am a hobbyist and I do professional work period. Anyone that wants to hate over there still I will gladly join up over there and explain it myself (not being an internet tough guy here, just defending my reputation and skills) I have met colin a couple times and trust me, if I was a hack I would have never had his car at my house for three days. I also did a very nice 650 hp 03 Cobra last year I can post pics of as well. Tell those guys to find my show and shine threads here, no hack jobs ever!

That's SVTP for you. I have been a member on that site for nearly 10 years and there is NO detailing presence on that forum. Yes, there is a subsection for detailing, but, it's not hopping like it is here. The way Colin pitched the Royale made it seem like he didn't know what he was talking about and, stupidly enough, you get the haters coming out in droves to make their points. The goofball mentioning Dalton's business knows about Swissvax so I'm not sure why he is so adamant that there is not another expensive LSP. I say you signup over there and start posting your work. Shut the clowns up.

FWIW, I think you did a great job on that Cobra.

Car looks good man. Keen to see some pics with the sealant/wax on there.

Boss , How do you take care of that edges of emblems ??? and how to get the embedded dirt off from those hard to reach areas like inside and corners of emblems ???

great job, these cars can take a lot of abuse, and still clean up incredibly, with the proper knowledge, skills, and tools of course :xyxthumbs:

the only mustang forum detailing section thats any good I've come across is in moddedmustangs.com

I surf around SVT performance, but most of those guys there are self absorbant a-holes. They know who they are too. They think every sub section is smack down
