Black ceramic coating detail product

I was wondering what product some of you would use to clean black ceramic coated exhaust tips? I have only ever had chrome.View attachment 37657

I can say this - on my "black chrome" exhaust tips, mothers exhaust polish was abrasive enough to make it silver, regular chrome.

Ceramic is obviously completely different - I would use APC (optimum 3:1)

I would go with the mildest APC you have, or dilute it as said above. Try that and see if that is working for you...then step up the 'strength' if you are receiving the results you are looking for.

You can also first try some waterless wash/detail spray to see if that cleans them up.

Just like with paint (and everything else!): least aggressive method first.

I have had black chrome exhaust tips for five years and they have never lost their finish.
