Blackfire Crystal Seal - The 11 Minute Paint Sealant

If your car stops beadin and you put cs or the blackfire spray seleant on it will it make it bead again?

See Nick...its blue...I'm sure once you send me some of the crystal seal it will show its true color. You have my shipping address :props:

That is some shine u got there - wow, I'm impressed! Assuming your showcasing CS right?

Since this is a sealant can it be applied to freshly clayed paint with no other protection?

My moms car hasnt been washed in 3 month, and never clayed. Its a 2006 expedition. Paint looks great and i wont be doing any correction. Wash with dawn mixed with pinnacle auto shampoo, clay with onr as lube, And CS as lsp? Just sound too easy, is my logic correct?
I would think this could be applied at any stage of your detail, it just depends on what you want the out come to look like.
Since you mom's Expedition was on a 3 months expedition of not being washed, I would at minimum polish after clay, and then apply the sealant. I'm sure there must be some small imperfections on the Expd due to the time it was not washed....just mho.

Man it must be an expedition to detail an Expedition...

In my search for the "perfect" sealant that would leave my Ibis White Audi the glossiest/wettest looking in the land, I decided to give Blackfire Crystal Seal (BFCS) a go. (actually it was Nick who "decided" but....) The other contenders were FK1000 and DP Poly sealant with bonding the agent. I didn't try any of the carnauba waxes as I wanted a sealant for the protection, especially living in south Florida.
After washing the car, I applied Iron X (note after dwelling for 10 minutes it did not turn color) then used Wolfgang Clay to remove the surface contamination. Still didn't pass the plastic bag test so I brought out the PC and applied Wolfgang Paint Enhancer with a white LC flat pad to a test patch. Very good but not perfect. Grabbed some Klausse AIO and finally the plastic bag glided over the surface w/o any resistance - so now the paint is ready for the LSP shootout.

I applied BFCS to the hood and trunk. To the front and rear quarter panels, DP. Drivers door BFCS and the passenger door two coats of FK1000. My results were completely different than I expected.

Observations
All the products visually looked the same to me in the garage, shade and in full sun, regardless of the lighting conditions. I couldn't tell one from the other but perhaps in the everyday I'll notice some small difference, though that's doubtful. All the products looked great, felt slick and the car appeared to be equally glossy and if I didn't tell point it out, you could tell that different products were applied. I couldn't recommend one over another based on visual appeal - again the car is refrigerator white in color. I'm really not surprised by this but I was lead (under the bus u go Nick) to believe the BFCS would be the best in class for glossiness. Perhaps on dark color paint but not in this case.

The OMG result for me was the ease of use - a wild card that I never considered. In fact I thought I would hate applying the BFCS because I'm old school and enjoy the whole WOWO thing. I also really enjoy apply the sealant via the DA, spreading it out very thin and coming back for the TLC wipe down. Forget about it - welcome to the 21st century people. The BFCS was beyond amazing on how it went on and frankly by the time I get to the LSP, it's been several hours in the hot Florida sun and I'm ready to be done. The only difficult part of the entire application process was following the directions. ONE spray on each panel & TWO for the entire hood. Are you kidding me - how could that possible be enough product? Besides if one spritz is good, then two is 3x better right? WRONG, I spoke several times to Nick on this and he emphasized I stick to the directions. BTW, one coat is all you need so no need to wait 12 hrs to reapply.

What I don't know is how well does this sealant protect? For my detailing schedule, it needs to last 3-4 mos. I have no reason to doubt this as it seems to be a reasonable time frame for most sealants, but obviously I don't have firsthand experience. Perhaps others who've used the product can speak to the durability over a several month time period which I would be very anxious to hear the details. However I'm confident in saying you've never applied a wax or sealant easier then this product! I'm sold just on that basis alone and if you follow directions, one small 4 oz bottle will do around 20 cars - fantastic. Over the next three months I'll be watching for how it wears and how easily bird bombs clean up. (it's a Florida thing) If it's as good as FK1000 and the DP Sealant regarding durability & "clean-ability", the BFCS's ease of use is too much of a benefit ignore for me.

Thanks Nick, truly appreciate and the help & encouragement. Btw, be warned when you wash the MF applicator, the color bleeds big time so wash it separately.

The only LSP's that will touch my cars from now on at WOWA products - most notably UPGP...

It's so damn easy...

my crystal seal should get here today - gonna divide my roof for a side by side with UPGP...

Did you ever get a chance to do that roof test? I'm very anxious to hear your thoughts. Thought about UPGP but most people say it requires 3 coats to get it right whereas BFCS is one and done. Tuff to beat and if I need to go back in 3 mos, it's a no biggie. The stuff is beyond easy to apply and so far, is holding up well compared to DP Polycoat and FK1000 in my current test.

New to forum , Have new mazda cx5 silver. Looking for durable hand applied paint sealant with high gloss to withstand Las Vegas heat. Easier the application the better. Would like single product that also covers grey /black plastic side moldings if possible. I don't want to be detailing once a month. How does this compare to Klasse All in one and sealant? Originally planned on klasse with ultima tire and trim plus.

:welcome:

Klasse AIO (All-In-One) is a one-step polish with an acrylic sealant. Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze is an acrylic sealant. Blackfire Crystal Seal is a polymer-based spray on paint sealant.

If you want the maximum protection AND shine, I would recommend using an AIO/cleaner wax first (Klasse AIO is a great example) followed by a paint sealant like Blackfire Crystal Seal.

Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze is going to last longer than Blackfire Crystal Seal, but the ease of use and method of application couldn't be any more different between the two products. Blackfire Crystal Seal, as the title of this thread implies, is an 11 minute spray on paint sealant. It can be applied to painted surfaces, plastic trim, wheels, headlights, glass, etc. I would still recommend a dedicated trim product like Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus for all the plastic exterior trim.

If you want to keep it simple, this is the route I would go:

Klasse AIO
Blackfire Crystal Seal
Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus

Thanks for the quick reply. I will place order shortly.

Crystal Seal sures beads up well in the rain, quite impressive.

Repelling properties from what? Bird poop, tree sap, water spots, acid rain, overspray, fallout..what are you looking for BCS to repel.
Does BFCS have any repelling properties?

Mainly dust. I have a black car and live off of a gravel/dirt road. My car always has a layer of dust that clings to the car like a magnet. I use a duster everyday as I leave.

Have you tried FK425? Said to have anti-static properties.

I have tried fk425 and it's an excellent product; however, the ease of application of BFCS cannot be beat. (not suggesting that fk425 is difficult to apply, it's just nothing I've tried thus far is as quick and easy as the BFCS) Currently running a test for longevity between fk425, cyrstal seal and DP Polysealant. After month and a half on my daily driver, all the products look, feel and bead up the same. I need my LSP to last 3-4 months based on my current detailing routine. Assuming all of the above will do that, it comes to ease of application and appearance and IMO, the Blackfire CS comes out the winner. YMMV but it's definitely worth a try.
