Blackfire Crystal Seal - The 11 Minute Paint Sealant

Nothing looks better than black when it's shiny. Awesome pictures. Do the people at work ask you to move your car because the shine blinds them through their windows? haha!! Incredible shine. My DD is Charcoal Gray, trying to get pics up since I just finished it.

Totally agree - it's astonishing how easy it is to apply and how well it protects. Truly a WOW product. Like u said, never fails to amaze.

I'm curious about a polymer-based sealant vs an acrylic-based sealant.
Will one go over the other or should you stick with same style of product?
For instance if you used a polymer-based product to seal wouldn't you want to use a polymer-based product to spritz/enhance at each wash or whatever interval you choose?

Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection is a liquid paint sealant that utilizes some of the most advanced polymers available. Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection is designed to be applied by hand or machine, and for best results it should dry to a haze for 20-30 minutes before removal.

Blackfire Crystal Seal is an advanced spray sealant that shares much of its polymer base with Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection. Crystal Seal requires no buffing as the product goes on crystal clear. Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection has an advantage in both shine AND protection, but Crystal Seal is less time consuming to apply.

Both excellent products that take a different approach to paint protection. If you want the best of both worlds, apply a coat of Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection and then apply a coat of Crystal Seal about a month later. Prepare to create whiplash. :dblthumb2:

In your opinion, if using crystal seal alone, how often should it be applied to:

1. A daily driver exposed to the usual elements
2. A garage queen NEVER exposed to the elements

Question #3: Can crystal seal be safely applied to vehicles with clear protection film such as 3M venture shield.

Thanks,

george

Nick,

I have a 2010 Audi R8 that has a clear polyurethane bra (clear protection pain film). My question is whether WGDPS 3.0 and BF Crystal Sealant are safe to use on the clear film.

I'm a big fan of WG and am quite pleased with it's durability on my wife's car. So, I want to start using it on my Audi, but the installer told me to steer clear of any products that have petroleum based chemicals, as it will cause yellowing on the clear film.

I have plenty of WGDGPS and will receive my order of BF Crystal Sealant later this week. I couldn't decide between BF Crystal Sealant or WG Liquid seal, so I decided to go with BF.

thanks,

george

It's best to stick with products in the same polymer family to ensure compatibility.

1. On paint that's properly prepped (ie: clay, polish) 2 coats should yield 3 months of protection.

2. Every 6 months.

3. Yes.

See response above.

what kind of durability do you get out of crystal seal
nevermind. 3 months. lol

I read all 19 pages of this thread and realizing newer cars use little or no stainless steel trim and triple chroming methods as what came on my 57 Chevy so it begs the question as would this sealant be worth using on said items to prevent oxidation and or finger prints?Feed back please

Hey Tim,

To protect the metal surfaces, look no further than BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Metal Acrylic Sealant.

This will create a durable acrylic barrier that sheds water and prevents contaminants from sticking. It will also make the surface far easier to clean after eager bystanders feel the need to touch your perfectly clean chrome trim. :dblthumb2:

Nick,

On page 5 of this thread you mentioned waiting a month before applying Crystal Seal over All Finish Paint Protection.

Why so long?

On Todd Helme's advise,I apply 3 coats of BFCS waiting 60 minutes between applications. Fantastic results. You won't believe the difference after the second coat.

That's to give the protection provided by All Finish Paint Protection an added boost.

Man, this thread is still going? It now takes longer to read the thread than to apply the product!

Not sure what that means. 30 days seems like a long time to wait when you only have to wait 8 hours to apply Midnight Sun over the All Finish sealant. Alot can happen to the finish in a month that could contaminate the paint befiore you have a chance to use it. Does the All Finish Paint Protection take a full month to cure?

I'm asking because I order a 4oz. bottle that should be delivered today but wasn't expecting to have to wait a month to use it.

You don't have to wait a month to apply it. You can apply it within an hour. The point is that Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection provides such durable protection as it is, that applying a coat of Crystal Seal right away is not necessary.

It will prolong your protection, It has nothing to do with curing, when applying CS after BFWD(same day) you are technically wasting product, the gained durability will be dismal.

Hi

Sorry to bring back a old post but i"m a beginer in the detailer. My questions are could i put that product on my 2010 Camaro SS with vinyl strippes can it damaged?

When i complete my polishing i will put BF what did you think if i put a good quality carnuba wax after the BF?

When my car is waxing could i put BF after to refresh it?

Thanks to answered
