This seems to be some good stuff. Is an extra(second) rinse cycle needed?

Hi Mark,

I have tried it both ways and one rinse cycle seems to work just fine.

I use BF MF Wash in a HE washer. If I accidently put a little too much in a large load(>1.5oz) I see some extra soap bubbles on the rubber seal. Only then do I run the MFs through a quick extra rinse cycle. Once you figure out how much BF MF wash to use with your MFs and washer an extra rinse cycle should not be needed.

I don't use a second rinse cycle and mine come out great :)

:iagree: Also, if you have a few that are particularly dirty, it helps to let them soak in the washer (with the Blackfire/water) for an hour or so to loosen up dirt particles, then start the wash cycle. Just finished doing some and they came out great.

I never use an extra rinse cycle with any microfiber wash, granted I usually stick to Pinnacle and now BF....

I have checked it on the extra rinse and there are some soap bubbles, but very few. I do it anyway and add vinegar to the final rinse. All though it likely not necessary.

Hey Mark,

So far so good with 1 rinse. :props:

Extra rinse is a good idea with towels, even bath towels. Towels are much thicker and absorbent than regular cloth so they retain more residue. Washing machines that have an actual "towel cycle" setting automatically include a second rinse.

SR99 is correct. The greatest enemy of microfiber towels is soap. An extra rinse with vinegar can't hurt a thing.

I use a second rinse (never tried one) but do not use vinegar in the rinse.

Is your HE washer a front load by any chance?

When I add the BF wash in the "main load" I see it leaks out of the washer!

I guess my next try would just load the towels in the washer and just but the BF liquid in directly.

Do you guys specify what type of wash cycle like delicate, or hand washables. My first pass didn't go well as the towels still came out dirty.
